I need to set up a Mail account on my Mac, and I want to be able to check on my Yahoo account (as well as my Cox account while my other computer is being repaired, long story, but I know that that uses POP3). But in the setup for Mail, it asks if you use POP, IMAP, or Exchange. I don’t know what any of these mean. I don’t want to get the paid version of Yahoo Mail, so if anyone can tell me what to set it to, as well as what address to use (will yahoo.com work?), your help would be greatly appreciated.

How do I get my free yahoo mail account to work on Mozilla Thunderbird through IMAP?

Any information would be helpful. I am not thoroughly familiar with imap, and smtp formats, but I am a quick study. ^.~

Does anyone know how to do this, or a web reference with instructions?

I need to know what server yahoo uses to store e-mail so I can receive e-mail from craigslist. It is either POP3 or IMAP. Thank you.

wanted to setup to get Yahoo and AIM mail. I heard that from yahoo u have to pay the premium service.
I was able to get my comcast email working. does anyone have the settings for AIM and yahoo. thanks

I am a paid yahoo business mail user, and have only POP access. With multiple devices accessing email, this is not practical anymore. Is Yahoo Business Mail IMAP, or will it be soon?

I need to know if my yahoo mail is a POP3, IMAP, HTTP or what. Also the server for incoming and outgoing mail. This is for WinMail.

Well, I’m trying to set up my network with our new ISP. It was working relatively fine with Clearwire Wireless Broadband. We just got AT&T DSL so I set it up this morning. Well, it worked fine when it was straight modem to computer. Then when I added the router, it stopped working. I’ve put the settings in the router…a lot of times. I reset the router, a lot of times. Unplugged and replugged everything, a lot of times. I called Netgear, its a Netgear router, who won’t help me because I’ve had it longer than 90 days. I called AT&T who couldn’t help, tried, but failed.

The router is now detecting a PPPoE connection, which is correct, and I enter the login for the account, but when it is finished, it still doesn’t have internet…its getting me all riled up. I can’t figure out what the problem is. AT&T had me log on to the modem and set the PPPoE for “on the computer” which is something that I hadn’t had before, but it still won’t work.
It’s a Motorola modem…

AT&T told me to use “username@att.net” as the user name. I’ve tried it with and without, no difference.
Cool, I will try the 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.10.1 change and see if that works.
