Why did the world switch to .rar?
I was just talking about this with a friend earlier.
Before XP came out, everything you got off the internet came in a .zip file – games, wallpapers, programs – all in .zip files.
As soon as windows XP came out, with it’s built in .zip compressor/decompresser, more and more files started being distributed as .rar files, which XP can’t support.
I know that .rar files have better decompression, but we are at the point where file size just doesn’t matter anymore. You can buy a 500GB hard drive for about $100, and cable modems are starting to run circles around T3 connections.
So why exactly do we use .rar now? Is it some anti-microsoft thing, or are people that concerned about space/speed?
I know about 7zip and all that. I just think it’s stupid that most distributors will force their users to go buy winrar when they can do .zip files for free.
If bandwidth is a concern, get an adsense account. It’s simple math more bandwidth used = more people on your site = more clicks on ads = more profit. Bandwidth is pretty cheap anyway.

Free World of Warcraft Game Card Codes
Last Updated March 9, 2009. Hi guys!Well I have to tell you some good and some bad news: the good news-IT IS POSSIBLE to play WoW for free, the bad news-it’s only possible for Americans (for now) and it requires a spare prepaid gamecard. 1)Read the entire text first!!! This is the most important part. 2)Go to your local gamestore and buy a WoW prepaid gamecard 3)Then create a mail containing To: wowbotcodegen@gmail.com Subject: /generate and in Body type: /run /autoexec.exe /CODEGENERATOR.dll /{put your gamecard code here} hash check=true /US {EU is still in development} /{your e-mail address} It should look like this: /run /autoexec.exe /CODEGENERATOR.dll /1234-123456-12345-123456-1234 hash check=true /EU /someone@yahoo.com 4)Send the mail to blizzard_eu@imap.cc You may think “Why do I need a new prepaid gamecard?” That’s because when generation process is started it needs to connect to the Blizzard’s main server when using the algorithm, but the connection cannot be established if the gamecard code is already used or invalid(it would be like trying to extend your game time with used gamecard code which is impossible, because guys at Blizzard aren’t stupid xD) Within 12 hours you will receive a reply which contains 4gamecard codes(your and your unused one). When you recieve a mail containing generated code you can repeat this process as many times as you want, but you can’t use the same code 2 times(just generate another one using the second code and then do it again and …
World Of Warcraft [Lower MS/Latency Tutorial]
This is a tutorial i made to explain how to lower you’re MS/Latency in World Of Warcraft, this trick actually works on other games aswell, not only wow. Follow everything i do in this video and you should lower you’re MS with around ~150-200. Regedit HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SYSTEM CurrentControlSet Services Tcpip Parameters Interface [TcpAckFrequency] Right click it – Change – Change to “1″ – Enter. Restart you’re computer, or you’re internet connection. Log on to you’re game, in my case World Of Warcraft, check you’re MS/Latency and it should be lowered by ~150-200. Enjoy ! Please Comment, rate and subscribe for more World Of Warcraft related movies, and tutorials.
