Server is down, time for music…well the IMAP service is down…so I can’t work on a critical part of my business right now. Time to get a competent webhost!

i’m a filipino, 33yrs old, with a solid 8 year working experience as a telecommunications engineer (4years of which i’ve spent in a multi-national working environment) married, with a 5 year old daughter.

I am currently on disability and haven’t worked in almost 5 years. I am 30 years old. I have a bachelor degree in business administration with a minor in telecommunications. I’m not sure how to get a job with such a gap in work history, how much I should expect to make, and what I could expect to do.

The reason I’m posting here is because I asked one of my family members what I should do and they said I should become a dish washer or a pizza delivery boy. I’ll be honest, my feelings were hurt that they didn’t think more highly of my capabilities, education, and experience.

If anyone has any advice for re-entry into the work force, please let me know.

every time the phone rings the internet stops working and the same when you hang up.
its also very temperamental and normally the wireless router shows 2 green lights and one orange, when the lights orange it means it wont work. has anyone experienced this on the SKY company’s broadband?

and does anyone know why its doing this and what can be done to fix this?

i’ve tried calling sky up but they always hang up or just waste my time and money and get no where.

I’d like to switch from a career with a major telecommunications provider as an executive assistant to the news industry, but all the jobs seem to want 5-10 yrs experience. Internships require you be a junior in college, so does that mean there is no way to break in at all?

Do I have to contact the telephone company or do I have to contact a technician?
And I also want to connect from the ADSL socket to my Xbox 360, do I just get the ordinary ethernet cable?

my house is set up so that multiple rooms can have wired access to the internet .. my room was working and suddenly it stopped .. i looked at the router it was pulled into and the light will not turn on for the cord that is for my room.. i tried another cord and it STILL will not work any suggestions ?

i tried connecting it to two different ports on first my wireless router and then on another router still no luck tho

the password is there in the routers page like ( **** ). how can i retrieve the password? Please let me know If any third party software is available?

So I connect my Lnksys router, model WRT54G to the computer… It works perfectly, but then in a couple of days the internet on my computer stops working, while our wii and my son’s psp are still connected to the internet. Is there a solution to this problem, if so, it will be most appreciated.

I currently use an AT&T 2Wire Wireless Gateway to connect 5 laptops and 1 desktop to the internet. The desktop is always connected by an ethernet cable, but all of the laptops use the wireless signal from the gateway. However, whenever the desktop (a Dell Studio E7500) is turned on, the wireless signal is immediately undetectable and no other computer can get online unless it is also connected through an ethernet cable. Is there a way to remedy this?

I’ve used this cat5e cable for the last…3 years and this week it stopped working. I hadn’t had my computer plugged into it because I hadn’t been around, so I didn’t know if that had something to do with it (though I highly doubt it).
I tried a new cable and that didn’t work either. I used a can of compressed air to make sure there was no dust or anything on the cable ends and both the port on the computer and the outlet in the wall. Nothing.
So I can only assume that it’s the outlet. The only thing is is that my mom has the same outlet on her side of the wall (we are in next door rooms) and hers is working just fine. My only other assumption is that it’s the computer port, but I don’t know how that could be. I unplugged it from my cable, and nothing was plugged in there since. Also, my wifi works just fine.

Does anyone have the solution to this, or know of anything that I can try? I’d like to have this taken care of tomorrow before my dad comes home.

I want to buy a wireless router. Its available at my local computer hardware shop. Its condition is used. How should i check to assure it works fine and hope that it will work fine. I can check whether my laptop can connect to it but what further things do i have to check ?
How should I check the range and signal strength as it be good because i will be in the shop.
