I can’t afford the massively overpriced wireless card that microsoft makes for the 360 but I was wondering if one of the USB wireless cards would work like from netgear and plug it in the back next to where the cat5 cable would hook up.

I got a Telus SE567 wireless router the other day. I got the internet working on the main computer, however, I wanted to connect with my HTC/pocket pc. I successfully connected, however, this wifi internet still won’t work on my htc. Does anyone know the proper connection settings?

I had no problem connecting with my old router and shaw internet.

I’m getting a laptop and we already have a desktop. So we need a router so we can have both puters hooked up to the net. Will a wireless router work well in a mobile home? And what ranger am I looking at? if any.

im trying to get xbox live and i measured where i need to get the cable and its just barely more than 100 feet. is there any certain store or place online that has cables longer than 100 feet. all the place around where i live only have the 100s. Will a longer cord make it any slower? is there any way to connect 2 ethernet cords together?

I have a friend who has an ADSL line (the fastest she can get) and I have a spare ADSL 2+ router. I was wondering if the ADSL@+ router will connect with the ADSL line and work fine? The router is a Billion BiPac 4 port router (not wireless).

I always used to unplug my ethernet cable from my desktop computer and connect it to my laptop so I could access the internet. I have windows vista and now out of no where it wont work. My laptop wont even recognize that an ethernet cable has been plugged in. What can I try?

OK, forget the original question. Here’s a new one.

From start to finish, what EXACTLY do I need, besides an Ethernet cable, to connect my XBOX with an Ethernet cable? The guy at Radio Shack said I need a Fast Ethernet Switch by NETGEAR. Does it come with a cable to connect the switch to the computer? All I want is a straight-forward answer with minimal technical talk. And I’m possibly going to do this whole wired connection instead of wireless because I never have consistency in my online gaming.

I receive a standard landline package from BT which is just costing money for a service I don’t use as I have free minutes on my mobile phone. I also receive broadband from a 3rd party. I’ve heard that disconnecting the BT landline should not affect the broadband service. Does anyone have first hand experience of this?

my house is set up so that multiple rooms can have wired access to the internet .. my room was working and suddenly it stopped .. i looked at the router it was pulled into and the light will not turn on for the cord that is for my room.. i tried another cord and it STILL will not work any suggestions ?
