i want to do this because i am running the apache server on my pc and i would like it to be on 24/7 if possible? does it cost much to keep my pc runnign 24/7 withoutt being in sleep/hibernatij mode ? and also if i kept it on while not being in sleep mode would the led/neon lights in my pc have a shorter life?

I just recently installed a fresh copy of windows xp and i need an ethernet controller driver in order to go online. Does anyone know where abouts i could find the one i need.

I just installed Win98 on my old computer, I want to connect it to the Internet from my base computer running Vista. I had Linux installed before, where I’d just plug the Ethernet cable from one computer to the other, and I was running Internet on both. Since putting 98 I can’t get it too work, I’m sure it’s a setting in 98. Could someone help me out?
I’m trying to get Internet access on both Vista and 98 computers.
Nowhere really, I’ve tried to set-up a LAN connection,nothing; I think my Ethernet cable may not be recognized by 98. (It was on Linux)

I recently upgraded my desktop PC but I don’t throw anything away. Can I use it as a file server for my new PC? Can I use it as an external hard drive? Not sure how to connect it all together here, either. One more thing: I don’t want a monitor attached to it either because of space. I have Cat5 cables and even a KVM switch. How to configure?

Does anybody know if i can get an internet connection for my xbox 360 by using and ethernet cable in one end of the 360 and the other end in my windows XP laptop? I looked on wikipedia it said i could with a CAT5 cable… what the heck is that?
