My mom bought a Cricket Huawei Broadband Wifi thing and when i set it up it said i needed a wpa key. I don’t know what that is… Can Someone Please Help Me??

I have a desktop in my shop that cannot get the wifi from my house. I have tried better antennas but that dosn’t quite do it. What do I need to put on the wall opposite the house that I can run cat5 from the desktop about 25 ft to get the signal from the house. AP? Bridge? etc.

I bought a ps3 and call of duty. I also have a router. So i play on my WiFi and it starts to freeze alot.I want to know what should i do to play on WiFi without the PS3 glitching,freezing or buffering.
P.S:should i buy a wire(cat5) to connect my router with my PS3 or is there any other ways

I’m downloading a couple games on Steam right now on my MacBook Pro on wifi and my download rate is 1.2 MB/S(megabytes per second). Will my download rate be faster if I connect my MacBook Pro to my router via Ethernet cable? If so will there be a significant increase in download speed?

My neighbor and I also work next door to each other. I give him access to my wifi connection (via his laptop) at work. He got high speed at home and has shared it with me (and my wife). Thing is, his wifi signal only barely arrives to our house, and only if we are sitting on the patio or in the bedroom.
I’ve got a linksys WAP54g (access point) and a Linksys WRT54g (router) and two laptops with wireless cards.
I can plug the AP into my laptop via cat5 and get the wifi signal and internet, no problem. I can configure my router to run a network at home and share files or use a networked hard drive. No problem. The problem seems to be when I plug the AP into the WAN port of the router, I don’t get internet via the router.
I upgraded the firmware on both AP and router. Still no dice. Feeling like I’m very close but must be missing something.

I am on a Macbook running Mac OS X Snow Leopard. My school supplies both an ethernet connection and a WiFi connection in the dorms. I would like to utilize BOTH simultaneously to improve my overall internet connection. I know by default OS X only chooses one connection or the other to utilize at a time. Is there software or some other solution (preferably free) that I can use to utilize both connections at the same time? Thank you!

I have a Linksys Wireless-G 2.4 GHz Broadband router that my family doesn’t need anymore since we have AT&T wifi. I have a windows desktop in the basement and wondered if I could use the Linksys router to connect my PC to our wifi. Any help?

On the same computer (running XP) can I assign one application (eg: Internet Explorer) to use the WiFi card network connection, while I assign another application to use the ethernet card which uses a CAT5 hardwired connection? How do I do this?

Last year I got a linksys router and every time I play online I lag, and it doesnt seem like it has a strong connection. When i try to do multiple tasks at a time involving the internet, it isnt able to do that without really slowing down the internet.
