I like telecommunications. But i dont know what i should do.

I have 40 PC’s and i want to configure wireless LAN with server, so i bought 24port SR224 switch and 6 WRT54G router’s(office is in rectangle shape with 6 room) and i connect all 6 router to switch with CAT5e Rj45 and i have given IP’s like (router1)192.168.0.1 (router2)192.168.0.2 (router3)192.168.0.3…….to maintain same network and continues connectivity for laptop’s while they move around the building please let me know is it right way !!?

I have a desktop computer that does connect to the internet with the Broadband connection, but when i try to connect the broadband connection to MY laptop, it still doesn’t accept the network… Before, i could just connect the broadband to the laptop and get on the internet, but now it doesnt… I checked the options for Network and no idea what to do next…. HELP!

Hi, I have a smallish home network. Some devices are hard wired others wireless. The speed is OK, but I want it faster for the laptops. I have a linksys wireless g router and a Motorolla surfboard modem. Will swapping out one or both will make an impact on speed? advice? I am a Comcast (reluctant for ten years) broadband subscriber.

I would like to offer five computer stations for my customers to browse the internet. I am wired for phone but not cable. In addition I would like to offer wireless internet access for the customers. There is an area set aside for five computers, the computers and wireless connections will get constant use but with a tight budget I am unsure whether to use a terminal-to-host, file server, or clinet/server. I would like a quality set up that is only expensive as need be. I am also unsure what type of protocol and network switching device to use for 5 computers on the LAN and for wireless access. In regards to cabling, I need a media type that would be best suited for my project and unsure which telecommunications device to purchase as well as the internet type that would best suit the customer’s. I know this sounds like alot but I believe that my customer’s would love this new feature and I know that they would get alot of use.
The coffee shop seems like a pretty popular local hangout and I know that the computers would get constant use, but it would not bring me any profit except for the fact I may draw more customers that would like to check their email or access the internet. I hope to sell more coffee.

i cant private chat with some of my friends because of this i need to change my settings or something i was told, recently i cant connect to xbox live when i do the test xbox live everything says confirmed until it reaches xbox live then it says failed if i restart the test sumtimes its fine and says connected but i dont want to be doing this all the time

ok my laptop is in the room with a adsl usb modem. it has a wireless card that sends internet and file sharing to my pda and other xp pcs about the house. one of these has a cat5 connection that i took to a linux pc and tried to have internet on that. it didnt work and a bridge setup cut the net off to the xp box as well.
now the linux box runs damn small linux (DSL) and previously took a feed via cat5 direct from my laptop.
the xp box it is now cat5′d to gives errors that the ip addresses clash 168.192.2.1 i think it said that sharing has to use this address and that means that i cant share the network on from a computer that takes in a share.
please, i need to know if this is possible while i waste my time with it.

I;m talking telephone line 56k BPS connection dont know which DSL box to purchase from the depot online, want to turn my dial up connection to a DSL connection, would like to know in advance which to buy. Please help if you can

Wht i have got is an ADSL connection with USB ADSL modem with no ethernet port , a LAN card installed as well on my desktop Machine and a crosswire ethernet cable, i have tried the method of assingnig IP’s ( 192.168.0.1 n 192.168.0.2 method ) but sometime my laptop get connected to interenet and some time it dont no matter how many times i try to diagnose it :S !!! File shareing is working normal but internet shareing do not works always, HOW CAN I FIX IT !!!!

I want to configure the USB Bandwidth for my Adsl Modem. The Pc auto. lowers its bandwidth usage. I have a laptop with 2usb ports. At the one i have the Adsl modem and at the other i have a hub with some devices. How i can configure to give adsl modem full bandwidth ?

theres a distance between the 2 computers about 30metres and 1 is in the 1st floor and 1 in the 2nd floor and there are many obstacles between them too. will it work. someone told me theres something called adsl router, will this work with my sagem modem and how much is it. plz give me all details
