Can someone make me some kind of like an idiots guide to set a static IP under a network on Vista Ultimate?
It’s really a pain in the arse having to restart the DHCP everytime I sign on.
Please be as specific as possible, as I’m not real proud of my PC knowledge.
How do I fix Vista Crash?
I have a toshiba laptop. And I currently using the trendmicro and microsoft defender for anti-virus. I am going to install my new norton anti-virus today. However, I can’t seem to get my laptop working. I got a blue screen with a message error 0x0000003B (0x00000000C0000005, …..). I already tried to chance the start up programs, I can get to normal mode but I can’t connect to the internet. I checked on the device manager and I got errors/ warning signs for 4x 6to4 adapter, intel(r) wifi link 2100 AGN, realtek….ethernet NIC, teredo tunneling pseudo-interface, wan miniport (IP, IPv6,L2TP, network monitor, PPPOE). I don’t have my vista CD with me. Is there a way I can fix this? I really need my computer tomorrow. ASAP help needed. Thx.

Can I upgrade from 32 bit Windows Vista to 64 bit Windows 7?
Hi, my current PC has 32 bit Windows Vista, with all my hardware having 32 bit drivers. If I purchase a 64 bit version of Windows 7, and I wipe my hard drive clean, can I use it?
My question also includes hardware. After I wipe my hard drive clean and install 64 bit Windows 7, if I install 64 bit drivers for my existing hardware, will it work?
Here’s my list of hardware:
Motherboard: NVIDIA eVGA nForce 750i SLI / NVIDIA nForce 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet
Video Card: NVIDIA eVGA GeForce 9800 GX2
Sound Card: Sound Blaster Audigy
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E8500 @ 3.16GHz
Printer: HP Deskjet F4200 Series
Thanks,
Mike
@J0zh94′s comment:
I downloaded the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor and it says that all my hardware meets the requirements, including my CPU which meets the 1 GHz requiremnt.
Thanks for telling me about this tool.
How do I connect my Vista x64 laptop to a wired router network for XP computers?
When I switch the ethernet cable from the XP PC to my Vista laptop, my laptop does not detect any new network and it does not detect the cable connection. The router is on and when I switch the ethernet plug back to the PC, the PC works fine as expected. However, when I switch it back to my Vista laptop I cannot connect to the network. The wired router is for XP computers only and it is NOT wireless. I normally use a broadband PPPoE connection at home, but I would like to use the internet at the office as well.
Does anyone know what the issue is? If so, how can I get my Vista x64 laptop to detect the LAN network? There is no problem with the ethernet cable, it’s just that my laptop does not detect anything at all even with the cable plugged in. Otherwise, the cable works fine (as expected) with the original XP computer. Help!

Is there a way to get BF2 Voip to work on Vista?
I have been searching this through google for the last hour and can’t seem to find a clear answer. I have Vista Pro 32bit and using the onboard sound/mic inputs.
I cannot for the life of me get Voip going on BF2. The voiceConfig doesn’t even register that I’m speaking. I have no issues with any other voice program such as TS or Ventrilo.
Any way of fixing this?
