I work in the field of mobile telecommunications. In my observation, the percentage of employees in this field who have daughters greatly outnumber those who have sons. These are employees / colleagues that worked in this field for many years.

Are there any strong research studies that support this genotoxic claim that high exposure to RF affects the sex of your future offsprings?

Somehow I allready used 300mb of mi smallish 1gig cap in a 2 days. Didn’t download anything but suspect that some sites are draing my cap just by surfing on them. I need to know which sites are the thirsty buggers. Thanks a lot
and b.t.w is it possible to use 300mb just by surfing sites(no downloads)?

Call it for what it is. If it is advertised as limited should it not be so. Or why not call it fair use broadband.

Why is the trade and retail description laws not applicable to ISP and mobile service providers?

We know of the “up to” speeds which are not achievable.

There are 5 users in my household who share a broadband account by wireless connection. The problem is that one or two use all our monthly allowance up in a week. They always deny doing so but I know they download lots of movies and songs. Is there some software where I ration usage to individual users and see what they are downloading?

I have a Cricket USB Modem and im wondering how can i track my data usage, the cricket broadband window has a button that says connection log, but i dont know if total data sent, received, or exchanged is my total usage.

Hello All.
I am using BSNL Dataone broadband configured with an ADSL modem.
I know the username/password configured within the modem and I am able to connect over PPPOE (unsure if that’s the right acronym).

However, when I try to use the same details “username@dataone” and “password” for links:
1) http://bbservice.bsnl.in/index.jsp
2) http://data.bsnl.in/wps/portal
It keeps complaining of invalid username/password.

Can someone kindly provide some clues ?

Using dtrace, here is one SAN disk (of 4) of our zpool including the mail spool from a Cyrus IMAP server. I did a zoom on the first 2 TB of storage, where ZFS is very busy. The rest of 2 TB per storage disk is nearly not used.
