I only get 1.5mb/s is that gd enough or should i be gettin more …… and if u could show me or give me links to increase my download speed.

i have a large (legal) file that i am trying to download using a torrent. I checked it, tons of seeders, very few leachers.

i have T3 (3MB) internet
pretty fast

and yet all i can get is 6kb a second
it maxes out at that

i have read everything
i have no firewall blocking my torrent program
i set up my modem to route the torrent program right so its not blocked by that

and yet i top out at 6kb
never more

how do i get 200kb a second like other people get?

I tried a winsock and tc ip resetting program and that didn’t solve anything either. Strangely my browsers work. It seems to have started when I had a program called security task manager remove iexplorer.exe because it seems to be infected with a trojan living invisibly in my recycle been which I can’t get rid of.

l’m not using a firewall, proxy or router, so don’t bother mentioning those.

Please, don’t give me stupid point-gaming answers, I’ll report you if you do, and for those of you who notice such stupid answers, please report them too.
I tried malwarebytes I tried combofix (the new one won’t work and the older one for some weird reason won’t work at all those a few days ago it did start up and was able to scan, I tried everything so to speak. I wish I knew what in the world was going on. A day ago MRT found and removed an aural trojan, yet iexplore still starts up in the background at seemingly random times.

On msn it says I have a problem with my key ports.I get the error 0x8104000b. I found this non working annoyingly rehashed answer on various sites (including this one) that claims the problem can occur if you have Windows Live Family Safety installed. I DON’T.

I tried everything: I tried uninstalling and reinstalling my wifi driver/s,
I tried a winsock and tc ip resetting program and that didn’t solve anything either. Strangely my browsers work. I reset my security settings and set IE to auto detect my internet settings and there was nothing that said it was going through a proxy.

Or it may have been because of some hot fixes that I had downloaded just before rebooting a few days ago on the same day that I removed iexplorer.

I even reinstalled explorer from 7 to 8 to see if that would fix things and it didn’t. I’m starting to wonder if comcast is blocking somehow my ability to use p2p somehow. Is anyone experiencing comcast apparently blocking their filesharing AND messenger logging in ability?

Ugh, I tried scanning using combofix and it asks me for windows recovery console, i downloaded it but don’t have a cd drive, yet, and i tried to make a virtual cd thingy but i cant afford to buy the software. I tried using an older version of combofix that doesn’t need the console but I can’t find it. I scanned for smitfraud and found nothing, used wormblaster and found nothing.

I just went through hell after installing a new version of the realtek driver I needed and after going through all these hellishly stupid settings found my wifi was firewalled (xp keeps turning the damn thing on!) and when I got rid of it IT STILL WOULDN’T WORK. So then I tried the new console that installed with the realtek driver again and found it had a wifi box unchecked (and last time found a box that said to disable it and it was checked!!!) but so I checked this wifi box and then finally it worked. BUT STILL MSN DOESN’T LOG ON OR ANY MESSENGER AND NO TORRENTS WILL DOWNLOAD AND SOULSEEK WON’T CONNECT!!!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!…

Is it possible to download torrents, even though i have Cisco clean access installed? The university i go to requires me to download and install Cisco clean access agent on my PC to access the internet and i was wondering if i can still download torrents and also if i can will i get caught? Thanks in advance for the answers and help.

i am using flashget as a torrent client and i have a paradyne router. everything was working well until recently when every time i start a download my entire dsl connection crashes forcing me to reboot the router and even less time the more torrents i download simultaneously. can anyone help?
