Today I was using a registry cleaner and I think it got rid of some important information. The stupidest thing was, I didn’t back up my files. So, after I did use the registry cleaner, I was told to restart my computer. The computer restarted, I typed in my password, and the next thing I know, my computer won’t boot up. Now, I let it sit for 5-10 minutes and then one screen came up and said this “Windows Sockets Initialization failed” and another screen says “Could not initiatize WinSock. For Security reasons, WinSock 2.0 is required, which your machine apparently does not have installed. Click OK to be taken to a page where you can download WinSock 2.0, or cancel to close this application.” So I clicked on the link and I find out that I have no Internet Access. (I have a wireless Internet Connection, if this helps you) So, the only thing I can think of to do is go get me a jump drive and go to my dad’s computer and install WinSock 2.0 on my Jump Drive and install it on my computer. So, I did that and my computer then said “This update is not designed for your version of Windows.” I’m now stuck and don’t know what to do, If you could help me I would greatly appreciate it. I just got this tool from China today and I need to attach the 8 Cat5 wires to the receptacle of a wall plate/keystone jack that I also purchased. This tool did not come with any instructions, does anyone know how to use it? There are no moving parts on it as far as I can tell, no scissor-like cutting, crimping, nothing.
