I have thunderbird and I configured my gmail on it using IMAP (which is way better than pop) and I was wondering if I could do the same for my yahoo.com account…

when i setup my gmail account with thunderbird with imap, i followed to directions and did the recommended settings; however, when i delete a message from my inbox, it removes it form inbox, but in gmail, it is still in all mail, does the mail that is not in all mail eventually go to the trash or no?

I set a few email accounts up as IMAP accounts. They are Dreamhost email accounts, and can be accessed by either IMAP or POP. I hate the way IMAP works, it’s so SLOOOOW. So, I have decided to swap to POP. Anybody know how I do this in Thunderbird?
