I constantly get this problem on my exam in telecommunication. Any help would be nice.?

There is a block diagram of a spectrum analyzer (go to http://users.cjb.net/mojemestozadeljenje/picture.jpg to see it)
Show that exiting signal envelope (in time domain) is proportional with amplitude spectrum of g(t).
I think that this question is taken from the book: Communication Systems Engineering by Proakis J. and Salehi M. or (less probably) from Communication System by Haykin S., but I have no way to buy them. If anybody has those books I would appreciate if you tell me if there is this problem solved (send my picture of that page please).
If anybody else have any idea how to solve this problem please send me email.
P.S. Sorry for my English. It’s not my mother tongue.
Just to clear up some issues. I do not have any credit card, and if I have I don’t want to buy this books only to find the solution for this problem (or worse not to find anything related to this). I am not rich (I live in Serbia) and for me 100$ is big amount of money.

How can I configure this network?

Here’s a schematic: http://i.imgur.com/99ndq.gif

Basically, I want gigabit access between my Mac and PS3 for streaming media. I don’t want the PS3 to go back through the slow homeplug and go via the modem router and then back to the Mac to get media files, but I do want them to both be able to get online.

How would I go about configuring this network? Including how to set up the airport.

P.S The homeplug is like 85Mbps, which is too slow for file-sharing but fast enough for internet. The PC,Mac and PS3 are all wired with Gb cat5 (may get cat6 if it helps)

thanks
EDIT: The Mac, PS3, Airport Extreme are all gigabit ready, the wireless is A/B/G/N

Can I use this cable for my ps2?

I was wondering can I use this cable for my ps2 network :http://www.tvcables.co.uk/cgi-bin/tvcables/10m-network-cable-cat5e-utp.html.

Is this the correct Ethernet cable?

This is a very simple question, i just want to make sure i’m ordering the right thing so i don’t end up wasting time sending it back in. I just need a simple 50foot cable to go from my router to my desktop. Is this cable acceptable? I see that it is Cat6 instead of Cat5, i’m not sure what that means but is it ok for my simple cable link?

In this situation, would wireless routing be better?

I have a machine (cable box kinda thing) that provides Filipino channels (from the Philippines). I have a router right next to it ( wireless) that it is plugged into right now. It sometimes has a hard time buffering the program that my folks are watching. The machine also has wireless routing capabilities. So is it better if i just make the machine go wireless or just keep it plugged in a router with a CAT5e cable?
