I need a cat5e tester for wiring my home and a few friends homes. I see some very cheap ones online but I want something that will last and not be too expensive. I was hoping to hit the 50-60 dollar mark and still have something decent. Is that possible?
Does anyone make a network link tester that will pull a DHCP IP address?
I have a linkcheck from smartronix but it only tells me if a drop is hot. I would like a small tool to pull an IP so I know the VLAN the drop is on so I don’t have to carry around a laptop. I know Fluke makes a $500+ model but I was looking for somthing cheaper
