why something like this would happen? and does anyone have any ideas about how to fix it?

I would like to offer five computer stations for my customers to browse the internet. I am wired for phone but not cable. In addition I would like to offer wireless internet access for the customers. There is an area set aside for five computers, the computers and wireless connections will get constant use but with a tight budget I am unsure whether to use a terminal-to-host, file server, or clinet/server. I would like a quality set up that is only expensive as need be. I am also unsure what type of protocol and network switching device to use for 5 computers on the LAN and for wireless access. In regards to cabling, I need a media type that would be best suited for my project and unsure which telecommunications device to purchase as well as the internet type that would best suit the customer’s. I know this sounds like alot but I believe that my customer’s would love this new feature and I know that they would get alot of use.
The coffee shop seems like a pretty popular local hangout and I know that the computers would get constant use, but it would not bring me any profit except for the fact I may draw more customers that would like to check their email or access the internet. I hope to sell more coffee.

My hubby’s a licensed system engineer (almost 2 yrs cumulative experience) with all this on his resume but can’t get a job in TX. WHY????

okay, so i have a cat5 patch ethernet cable, a cat5 ethernet cable that says nothing about its type on it so i assume its patch, a cat5e cable which i also assume is patch because it says nothing on it, and a router. I am trying to system link two xboxes (original). could i use a cable i have to directly connect without a router or would i have to use a router for this because they are patch cables? note that one is a cat5e and the others are cat5.
also, would using a router instead of connecting directly be a slower connection/transfer rate?

Linux ubuntu 10.10 has wireless problems so can I use a wireless Ethernet converter to connect my desktop to my wireless network? Which ones are compatible with Linux?

What kink of cable to i need to work xbox system link. do i need the cat5e crossover cable or the regular cat5e

Well, I need a router because all of my access points won’t work and yes I tried different securities. I need to by a wireless router for the Wii and for the cheapest price. Where can I find one?
I only want the wireless router, not the wired. My cousin has it and its a bother to go through the hole room.

Any OS that I can install to to the same job as an ADSL router? Also a GUI is good

Will the ethernet cord included with the 360 work for System Link? I’m not sure if it’s also a crossover cable or not.

Im planning a big halo 3 party next weekend and i will be hooking up 4 360s with 4 tvs and a linksys wireless router. Now when I plug them all in to it will they automatically work or is there some crazy settings? Also 2 of the 360s have the usb wireless device will i be able to utilize that in the system link. Oh and do i need just regular ethernet cord or do i need all system link cords? Thanks

My router’s telnet session keeps expiring. So what we have to do is pay 100 dollars everytime we need it rebooted, because it is in a data center in Buffalo. Once it reboots we are able to telnet into it. So in order to capture why the telnet session is expiring system logging would be useful. How do I set that up? Thank you in advance.!

i have a problem when i am online on my adsl network.there is a message that appears on my notification area over and over that says “there is an ip address conflict with another system on the network” i want to know is there any risk of entering another user in network to my pc.
