every time the phone rings the internet stops working and the same when you hang up.
its also very temperamental and normally the wireless router shows 2 green lights and one orange, when the lights orange it means it wont work. has anyone experienced this on the SKY company’s broadband?

and does anyone know why its doing this and what can be done to fix this?

i’ve tried calling sky up but they always hang up or just waste my time and money and get no where.

please help id really appreciate it. Thank you.

I bought a brand new Linksys Wireless-G router (WRT54G) and it always fades in and out of putting out an internet signal. Like I will be on the internet for 5 minutes then it will stop and come back on in a few minutes. Does anyone know what the problem is?

By the way this is the second router I’ve had that does this. Different brand too.

I know how to go to http://192.168.n1.n2, but then I do not know what I should do to secure the router. Someone is using the router and is causing our internet access to be very slow.

I got Vista a month ago, and I have the broadband connection working fine. But every hour or so, it pops and saying “Connect broadband connection” and when it does that it always stalls my internet connection. Does anybody know how to turn this off?

So the network goes down whenever a certain PC on the network is put to sleep or restarted. It may be happening with other PCs as well, but so far has been isolated to this one. This PC has been running for over a year and a half on this switch, a 24 port 10/100/1000 TrendNet switch, without a hitch up until a couple of weeks ago. This problem appeared out of the blue.

All Cat6 runs are tested and fully functional.

What happens, is any active connections suddenly “freeze” on the switch, and their corresponding LEDs become stuck in the on position, no more blinking. And all connections in the home are dropped.

I have it down to either a bad NIC (unlikely), or more likely a bad switch. I’m curious if a WOL setting could be causing this disturbance. Has anyone seen this before?

I currently use an AT&T 2Wire Wireless Gateway to connect 5 laptops and 1 desktop to the internet. The desktop is always connected by an ethernet cable, but all of the laptops use the wireless signal from the gateway. However, whenever the desktop (a Dell Studio E7500) is turned on, the wireless signal is immediately undetectable and no other computer can get online unless it is also connected through an ethernet cable. Is there a way to remedy this?

I have a netgear wireless router that my roomates and I use to connect to the internet. The problem we have though is that our neighbors keep connecting to OUR internet through the wireless router, and it is completely slowing my connection speed down. Is there a way that I can set up some kind of password to protect against this?

My PC stopped connecting to the internet via my cable modem, ethernet card. I replaced it, it worked great for a week then stopped. I replaced it a 3rd time with the same exact result. Is there anything that can be done to get the computer to connect to the internet? Give me your advice!

All the sudden my switch stop passing traffic. We have to reboot it to have it working for more that twice now.

I have a D-Link DI-624 router and a Dell Inspiron 2650 Laptop running XP. My router keeps restarting itself and connecting again. This is irritating because when i have an away message one AIM it disconnects me and i lose all my messages.

We just got Clear/Cisco because AT&T screwed us over. We’ve never had a wi-fi before, and I have no idea why it continuously disconnects me. It lets me get online for a minute, but disconnects and wont reconnect again until after unplugging and plugging the router back in several times…This is happening on all computers and it’s extremely frustrating. How do I fix this?
