How much start up capital will I need to start a wireless telecommunications company?

Yesterday the power went out and i have a battery back up so i promptly shut down my machine. I go back today and the computer will turn on but a second later shut down. Now the computer, monitors and the router is all powered by this supply and no damage was done to anything else. Also we have 2 other computers, with no protection, hooked up to this network as well as a switcher and some game consoles. Everything else is fine and works as intended. The one thing that i didnt have protected is the cat5 cable. Been meaning to get it protected but didnt have a spare cable to connect from the supply to the computer. Even though the cable itself wasnt protected the router was, can the surge skip the router and just damge the motherboard? So it seems that my motherboard is shot and need to now be replaced. Funny how the only computer with anysort of “protection” gets damaged…

others : I have tryed to plug the computer into the wall different outlets, everything, the Power supplie powers up the monitors and router fine and to me is working as intended. The battery back-up is a APC BACK-UPS ES 8 Outlet 650VA 120V which has surge protection so i dont think it would be power supply. Fans/sinks are all fine. All fans turn on and i dont hink anything has a chace to over heat. the computer stays on for no more them a second

Yo, I was looking into buying a VERY VERY VERY LONG ethernet cable, and trust me its gotta me really long. I was thinkig about running the ethernet cable through 1 or 2 vents, what ethernet cables would be safe in a vent, from heating and like cooling, temperature differences?, are Plenum cables good?, i dont wanna start a fire. And where can i buy Plenum cables?, also if those arent the best ones for temperature, can you tell me some better ones, i need a really long ethernet cable that can stand heating and no fires. thanks!!! oh ya, is this a good cable for what i want?CyberPower 14′ Cat6 Network Cable (TE500-14-SGR).

I’m now in the 3rd semester of a B.Tech course in Electronics & Telecommunications Engineering.

The time period between two stops is not fixed, it varies.

I would like to start my own business. This would include installing cat5e and cat 6 and phone jacks and data jacks.I would also install modems and wireless routers. I would also install cable for cable tv and satelites. I would remove old telephone lines also.

How should I start? Should I get a server? I want to have all these computers share a medical program in real time. I dont have dsl-only dial up at this point, but in the future it is possible. Would I have to get the walls wired for CAT5 cables? What is the most feasible choice-Any help is appreciated. My first choice is to designate one computer as the server and then link thru wireless–not sure if it can be done, so I need some advice. I dont have much experience in networking.

I was attacked by a virus and ran a scan saying that it removed all threats. Everything on the computer runs fine except for internet related stuff. I tried doing stuff in window registry, repairing winsock, etc… and I’m still getting the same error messages which are: C:\WINDOWS\csvalti.dll and C:\WINDOWS\ufemecus.dll.

The weird thing is that is my Skype does work and connects fine. However AIM is saying that it has failed to connect to Proxy Server and IE cannot display any pages.

I have Vaio VGN-FS980. I recently tried to install WinSock Fix to correct some internet trouble I was having. Now my Windows XP will not start. I’ve tried all options (safe mode, normal, last know configuration, etc.) and none of them work. I do not have an XP disk to reinstall. I downloaded a Sony Vaio Boot CD (possibly the wrong one). It got me past the startup issue but opened up an operating system/desktop that I am not familiar with (KDE 3.5, www.slax.com). None of my programs or documents are anywhere to be found on there. Is there a different Vaio Boot Disk that I can download that will restore my Windows XP? Is there any way to correct this without wiping out my entire computer? And if I do the F10 Vaio Recovery will I lose XP, MS Office, and all other programs? Again, I DO NOT have XP disk to reinstall.

My girlfriend’s Toshiba laptop has WIndows Vista Home Premium.
She turned it on yesterday and a driver install thing randomly popped up.
She didn’t know what it was and neither did I so she hit NO when it said to install.
After that she was no longer able to connect to the internet.

When you hover over the wireless icon it says “Connection status: unknown The Dependency service or group failed to start.

I have tried numerous fixes and none have worked.

Under the NETWORK ADAPTERS in the device manager all have the triangle/exclamation mark.
When I right click and hit properties it says “This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device (Code 31).

When I go to Computer Management and Services I right click DCHP client and it says
“Windows could not start the DHCP Client service on Local Computer”
Error 1079 the account specified for this service is different form the account specified for the other services running in the same process.

When I try to start Network Location Awareness.
It says Windows could not sart the Network Location Awareness on Local Computer.
Specific error code 1073741288.

I’ve tried the “netsh winsock reset catalog” fix in command prompt run as administrator and reset.
This still did not fix the problem.

I thought it might be a firewall problem however when I try to change any firewall settings it says that Windows Cannot Start Firewall Service.

She is the administrator on the laptop.

We don’t have the disk the laptop came with and might not for a week or so.
Does ANYONE know how to fix this?

In an effort to fix my internet connection, which was not working, I installed WinSock Fix (http://windowsxp.mvps.org/winsock.htm)
to my computer at the recommedation of another. But now my computer won’t start.
I get the “Windows XP Fails to Start” along with several options — Safe mode, Start Windows Normally, etc. None of these options work. My computer just restarts again and I get the same message as before.
Can sombody help me correct this problem. I’m just about out of ideas.
PLEASE HELP ME!!!
