I recently got into this telecommunication business and I haven’t been able to get customers. I’ve tried posting flyer’s at apartments and other public areas but that doesn’t work that well. Can anybody who has any experience in marketing/networking help me?

They do cable, fiber, internet, and phone. I have a few ideas for questions, just thought I’d get some opinions.

I want to learn Cisco and want to know what are some good beginning books. I want to get a solid foundation before getting into something like the CCNA.

I just bought a Linksys Wireless Router. I’m trying to set up my network so that my desktop, laptop, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii can all go on the internet. Is there anything I should be aware of before starting to setup the router? Are there any tips for setting up the router?

I have to do a term paper of a topic in telecommunications but I am having a hard time trying to find a topic. I was thinking about AT&T’s/Bell Labs divesture or the digital divide. Any other suggestions?

I live in the country and have line of sight high speed internet (PPPoE) I have an airport extreme router and my mac will hook up the the internet at anytime. However it took me about 6 weeks to get my PC to hook up to the internet. I can link them and it always recognizes the wireless network in my house but sometimes it wont hook up to the internet.
I got it going on the internet by finding IP range on my router. Then I went to TCP/IP settings and filled in the blanks and put in an IP address and tested the internet. If it didn’t work I would use an IP with the next number up until I found one that works. My mac has a static IP and obviously since I manually entered the IP on my PC it’s IP is static as well.
I’ve tried changing the modes on my router etc. and my ISP can’t seem to find out why it only hooks up half the time either. Any ideas? Sorry if this sounds kind of weird. I’m not really at techno geek!

Yeah, what do they have?
They have sbc dial for their e-amil, which is what I have, but mine is only at 26.6 kbps but theirs is 100 mbps. WHY?

we live in pahrump, NV so there is NO T1 and T3 and there is NO DSL all it is is dial up and satilite, and I know that there is absolutly no satilite in the school. it costs 100 dollars for each 8 computers, and there is about 300. Did they use a router?

So I need some Cat5e 25 pair PVC cable for a backbone from the first to the third floor and I want to run just one cable instead of multiple cat5e 4 pairs is it way more money? Where should I get it from?

The laptops that connect are samsung netbook and a toshiba satellite.

However the one that does not connect is Toshiba Satellite Pro A100. I have a 3 Com wireless router.

i have looked and apparently the problem may have something to do with tcp/ip filtering. I have tried resarting router and laptop, and have made sure ip address is set automatically.

i want to stop using it it and start using dial up connection. the problem is how can i get my ip back the one which i was using before DSL? pllz help i m desperate to know this

I was wondering if you would actually need a license to run cat5 cable since this is computer related
