Somehow I allready used 300mb of mi smallish 1gig cap in a 2 days. Didn’t download anything but suspect that some sites are draing my cap just by surfing on them. I need to know which sites are the thirsty buggers. Thanks a lot
and b.t.w is it possible to use 300mb just by surfing sites(no downloads)?

I have 2 locations connected to my pix using IPSEC vpn. I need to two locations to talk to each other (using 4 digit dialing UDP).
How do I get the remote locations to talk to each other? New IPSEC rules at each location? Simple routing (ive tried)?

My company has an Ip telephony network, that consists of 3com NBX, PIX fire wall, and fail over fire wall, Cisco switch, IP telephony sets, and cisco routers,

Remote sites are connected to internet through SDSL cisco routers, but they can’t talk to each other, while any remote office can talk to main office, and vise versa.

If a remote office tries to call another remote one the other will here the ringing, but once he tries to answer, they can’t hear each othe,

Is there anybody can help suggesting some possible reasons.?

Arrived home to the g/f saying that she had “broken the internet” …. “sh1t” I thought, if she has managed to do that (did not put it past her), there is going to be a lot of angry people out there …. !!!

Unbeknown to me, my anti-virus software (ES ET Smart Security) was 19 days out of date ….. no reminders, nice.

Anyway, downloaded on my PC, transferred via usb pen drive and installed various new anti-virus & spyware softwares (AVG Free 8.5, Malwarebytes, SuperAntiSpyware) some which found nothing (?!) some which cleaned out / quarantined ‘a lot’ (unsure if I still have the logs).

Problem before was that couldn’t do anything without warnings (from ES ET Smart Security) popping up about the viruses and IE opening and trying to go to p0rn.com & vi@gra.org.

Seems like I have cleaned up the laptop now but cannot connect to any site (yahoo, facebook) without the HTTP Error 404. ‘Interestingly’ the auto navigate attempts to p0rn.com & vi@gra.org didn’t bring back any content either.

Emptied the browsing history & temp internet files, tried installing Firefox, have checked for updates to the A-V / Spy S/W and re-run scans ….. in desperation, tried ‘netsh Winsock reset’ in a CMD from advice here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/892350/en-us ….. ooops, I now see I am actually on Win XP 2009 SP3 …..

Any suggestions (apart from staying off p0rn sites (I have not visited any p0rn sites (on that computer!)!)!) before I start taking random, drastic actions trying to guess my way through it?

windows vista. I can surf the web with no problem. i can download anything. windows update works. but things like online games such as poker and world of warcraft i cant connect. Ive tried every firewall tip i could find on the web. Im using windows firewall. ive tried all the ipconfig commands suggested on the web including: netsh int ip reset reset.log, netsh winsock reset catalog, ipconfig /flushdns, ipconfig /registerdns,ipconfig /release, ipconfig /renew. Ive downloaded and tried winsockfix. when running winsockfix i get this; 1) Registry Import Information not Found
and then after it finished. 2) Run-time error ’53′:File not found. I tried an online virus scanner but of course i cant connect Any suggestions?

I have a wireless router wrt54G, if I use it to connect to the modem, then some sites are not accessible from both my wired and wireless desktops. My ISP is using PPPoE. I don’t why only microsoft.com (this is what I know so far) is not accessible. My friend uses the same router at home, but with Rogers Dynamic IP protocol, then he is ok to browse any site. Please point me out where the problem is.

I switched from MSN dial-up to AT&T high speed. I see a message that says ‘Internet Explorer cannot display the web page’. Then it tells me to try ‘Diagnose Connection Problems’. But that doesn’t work. Found a site with a WINSOCK fix, but I am nervous about downloading it. It is not a Pop Up problem.
