The placement of the wireless router will not be within direct wiring distance and I want to avoid changing out my existing wired router setup.

My current router is an Linksys – G WKPC54G and I haven’t purchased a wireless router yet.

My strength was always excellent, but the last two weeks it has been low. I got a new router and I have the same problem. What could cause this?

My house is a total dead zone. I can only get reception for my cell phone outside in the backyard and upstairs in certain areas. I remember reading last year about about a relatively new technology that lets you take advantage of your wireless broadband signal to boost your cell phone signal. Can anyone tell me what this technology is called and direct me to to a site that tells me more about it and the products available for this technology.

I tried going over coax with a modulator, that did not work. I could go over 3 Coax with RCA tips on them but I would rather not use that. I thought there was a system that could go over CAT5 cable but I have not found it yet.
The longest cable I have found is 12′ I would not like to use that many connectors.
There are wireless solutions as well, but I would like to use somethig more reliable.

Message displayed whenever ADSL signal is lost – very annoying.
There is no option under properties to stop the notifications. Is there another way?

I currently connect using a cable modem with wireless router. The majority of my household uses laptops and thus require the wireless option, but I use a desktop and would like to connect directly through an ethernet cable. Is this possible? Or am I stuck with the wireless connection? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The HTC hero I have is running the android operating system firmware version 1.5 (because I live in alaska and we are behind the rest of US telecommunications technology by about 18 months).. I have already tethered internet to my pc via the mini usb cable, but is there a way to supply internet wireless?

My new apartment doesn’t have ethernet ports on the third floor. I would just use the wifi on my laptop but its a dell and when the wifi is on the sound output gets messed up. Can I just use a normal router and if so how do I set it up?

I just moved into a new apartment and my computer won’t pick up the wireless signal so I bought an ethernet cord to attach to the router. My roommates are complaining that since I have been connected via ethernet they have had a really bad wireless connection. Is this possible? I think it may just be a case of bad timing: their wireless crapping out at the same time I arrived.

I have a modem and wireless router downstairs. I have a device upstairs, that will ONLY accept a wired ethernet connection. Is there something I can put upstairs, that will receive the wireless signal while allowing it to output via ethernet?

The internet signal from our upstairs router is weak when it comes to our downstairs laptop. At times, we have to run upstairs and disconnect and reconnect the cords to regain lost access to the internet. The neighbors’s internet has a stronger signal than ours and there are atleast 6 of them on the networks list. How can I make our signal stronger?
