How can I see the network neighborhood or workgroup from a different router on the same network?
I have a wired router with four computers and a printer connected to it.
I also have a wireless router connected to this router and two laptops that connect to this wireless router network. They are all on the WORKGROUP group, but the wireless laptops cannot see the other computers or printer on the other router. How can I get them to see each other?

Is it illegal to use a single broadband connection on multiple computers in the same household?
I have one computer with cable broadband and on the other I use dial-up. I use a thumbdrive to transfer large files from one to the other, but this seems silly. The only information I can get from the ISP is that do-it-yourself networking is not supported. (They charge a ridiculous price to do it for you, of course.)

Will a wired connection bring me the same results as sitting next to a wireless router?
I’m going to get a 15-25m or so CAT-6 Ethernet Cable and run it up a few flights of stairs into my Xbox.
This is to provide a solution to my awful Netgear Homeplugs which provide me with slow connection and packet loss.
Anyway, the real question is a theoretical one.
Will having a wired connection this far away from my actual router provide me with the same sort of internet performance as if I was sitting next to the router and connecting wirelessly (which would provide a great performance).
Or are there issues that arise with this length of ethernet connections or wired connections in general that prevent them for being as fast/reliable as wireless connections?
And also if anyone can recommend a good website to purchase a cheap but good CAT6 ethernet cable that extends around 15-25m.
Thanks!
VOIP + High Speed internet over same LAN cable?
hi, I want to run a VOIP line and a high speed internet line over the same Cat5E cable.
My question is how do I combine both ethernet cables, would I use a network switch?
Second question is will I experience any internet slow down as a result
Thanks in advance
Can I have a Windows XP comp and a Windows 2000 comp on the same network?
I have one computer with Windows XP and another with Windows 2000. I am trying to connect them with a CAT5 Crossover cable, which I know is supposed to work. On my XP comp I ran a setup for a home or small office network, and then made a network setup disk to set up my Windows 2000 comp and get it on the network. But the Network Setup Wizard doesn’t work with Windows 2000. I know Windows XP comps and Windows 2000 comps can be on a network together, they have it at my school. How can I connect these two computers? Please be as detailed with your instructions as possible, while still remaining clear. Thanks.

However, whatever malware or virus that got his computer, can it infect other computers that are connected to the same router my brothers laptop uses? Is it possible to have my T-mobile Broadband work on two computers at the same time?
I know that when you’re using the broadband on one computer, then another computer can’t be using it, but do you think there’s another way that I can get two computers to use one broadband at the same time? Somebody told me that I can possibly try using a router, but is it true? Please help. Thanks!

When I’m asking this I speak in regards to a single machine. There was a program I heard word of that did this for you.
