i have reset my router (Azteck DSL305EU) after thet i’m not able to connect to internet.

We have our house wired with Cat5 wire, and we want to put an ethernet signal on it. The only problem is, our phone is on one pair. So, a) is there a difference between Cat5 and Cat5e, and b) can we still do this or do we need to go wireless? If you need more info to answer, my email is brkkal@yahoo.com. Thanks in advance.

do the length of an ethernet cord affect the speed of the connections? i just bought an ethernet cord (cat6) its about 3 feet long. for days and days an error message (local area connection, a network cable has been unplugged) keeps popping up every few seconds!!!!!! is it because of the length of the ethernet cord? if it’s not can u tell me whats wrong and how to fix it?!!! my father in-law recently replace the hard drive on his laptop. since then the laptop will not recognize a wired connection to the internet. we have wireless connection on it as well, but that sometimes goes out.

I want to connect my Linksys 54G router to it’s ethernet connection and use it to do my wireless LAN with. I also have 50ft of ethernet wire (CAT6), a Linksys Print Server, a Linksys switch, and a Netgear 54G router, if that helps

I would like to know how I set my ADSL Router (D-Link DSL 504T) to get the maximum performance. There are several settings on the ADSL Router, unable to understand all of them. Would like to know which settings affect in which way and what would be the optimal setting.

I keep reinstalling ADSL WebPower Modem Program for my internet connection and after about 10 or 15 minutes it up and disappears from My Network Connections folder and I have to start all over again.
