I’ve a laptop. At work i get IP Configuration automatically from DHCP but then at home i’ve saved it in alternate configuration so it automatically assigns hose configuration but internet doesnt work until i go to internet connections settings and change my work proxy settings to home proxy settings. What can i do so this is done automatically ? pls lemme knoww. thanks

This is my new LEGO project-a giant moving city called London, based on the book ‘Mortal Engines” by Philip Reeve. In the far, distant future, humankind has rebuilt itself after a massive nuclear war, and creates the unthinkable-a moving city that must be self sufficient to survive in the wastelands of ‘The Great Hunting Ground’. The larger cities chase down the smaller, and consequently ‘Eat’ them, stealing their resources and metal. I wanted to create a large tracked vehicle, similar to the on mentioned, that uses almost all of my LEGO. It features: 7 Small Pneumatic pumps filling 1XL and 3 Normal air tanks, 6 PF Motors: 2XL, 2Normal for the drivetrain, Others mentioned in video, 3 NXT motors, which control 6 Pneumatic switches, All of this is controlled by the NXT, which uses the HiTechnic Infrared Link senor to control the Power functions, and a motor multiplexer (now unnecessary as the RCX motors have not been incorporated). Also connected to the NXT is a Mindsensors PSPNXV3 controller, which will be the ultimate controller, with the ability to drive the city, and control all of its functions. While this city dominates my room, it is still unfinished, as I have yet to build the remaining few tiers, and finally, St. Pauls Cathedral on the top, which in fact houses a massive electric weapon, called MEDUSA. The dome of St. Pauls will open out, and MEDUSA will rise, bringing destruction to all those that challenge London!

I have a choice on taking Cisco 1 and 2 or Taking a Operating Systems Windows Systems Administration, both are 3 credits each. I am studying to become a Computer Network Administrator, which do you think would benefit me the most.

I just want to make sure that I have enough ram for this laptop to last me a while. On the fence with the blue ray drive its nice to have though..

I do not have a mobile broadband card, so no models to wory about.

Everything, and anything, I use, including, Paint, calculator, firefox…etc, wants to delete this. My firewall alert pops up saying things are trying to delete it. I press allow, and it still tries to delete 5 minutes later, sometimes with the same program. I looked this up, but I couldnt find anything usefull on this exact problem. So I thought id ask, and maybe someone knows what the heck this is.

i’m planning to install more 100 meters of cat5e cable. but i think its only a maximum of 100 meters is required to run the signal. i’m planned to run 150 meters or more. what should i do? should i use 2 or 3 switch?

I have a toshiba satellite laptop just got it a month ago. When i start it up it says i have the incorrect version of winsock installed how can i get it without internet? It also says WSAStartup() failed please help!

Haha, as a computer science/engineering student, I’m just curious, I know that a bi-color LED works by switching the direction of the current through the LED. However, I hear of products that use LEDs of multiple (3 or more) colors…how is that done? The only method I know of getting that to work would be to use a ton of bright, yet tiny LEDs and hook them up to a multiplexer that has the proper number of “selector inputs” for the outputs (that always has an signal input of 1 if one wants one of the LEDs to be lit)–I’m betting that’s not how it’s done though. So, how is it done?
I mean a logic 1 voltage, or the required voltage to run the LED.
