microfluidic chip for DNA separation
this video shows a microfluidic chip separating double stranded DNA (phiX 174, Hae III digest). it is shown in real time. you can see an injection in a few channels, the separation and an on-column reaction with intercalating dye (sybr green) for detection reasons.
Microfluidic mixer and reactor
This device is part of a microfluidic systems fabricated by the group µFluidica for the MST Design Lab at IMTEK Freiburg. The device is made of PMMA structured with an IR Laser, the channel width is 700µm. It is sealed for this experiment with Scotch tape, the inputs are additionally sealed with a small block of silicone. The fluids (ink and milk) are inserted with syringes.
