I know it is not normal for ADSL to have higher upspeed than downspeed what are effects of having this kind of weir result

If you know the answer to this could you also explain how you worked the answer out as I want to learn how to do this

(I dont just want/expect the answer given to me without me having to actually do any work or learn anything!)

I want to buy myself a notebook. But when I was reading the specs I saw that it had a Fast Ethernet LAN-poort (10/100 mbps). I know there is also 10/100/1000 mbps. I would like too know what the difference is between those two.

my connection is 2.5mbps,but i only download at 300+ kbs, why? Also if i get a 10/1000 card, will it be faster then my 10/100 card now and why?

I get an upload speed about 133KB/sec, what is that equivalent to in Mbps? my ISP say l am on the 30Mbps download and 8Mbps upload. also kbps, thats a 1/1000th of KB/sec?

I went over to my sisters house with my laptop and got over 1000 Kbps on the same exact thing. But I think shes also paying for a higher internet speed.

Is it something with my modem?

BTW… what type of servise is that? is that dsl, fiber optics or T1?

(it takes me about 5 mins. to download a 700 mb file)

I am a student at Georgia Tech and Georgia Tech has the second fastest wi-fi connection in the country. Not the second fastest among universities, the second fastest among every wireless network in the country period. When I first got here it transfered data anywhere from 500 mbps to an entire gigabyte per second (1000+ mbps), and although it occasionally dropped below 500 mbps, the slowest I ever saw it drop was 350 mbps……now and for about the last 2-3 weeks it won’t run above 56 mbps. WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH MY INTERNET CONNECTION? It has to have something to do specifically with my computer because none of my friends computers have slowed down, so please if there is some kind of setting that I need to change or something please tell me what it is…

How long does it take, in milliseconds, to transmit a 1000-byte Ethernet frame onto a 100 Mbps Ethernet network?

I’ve done a google search and found some sites saying yes and others saying no (only 100 mbps).
