Im planning a big halo 3 party next weekend and i will be hooking up 4 360s with 4 tvs and a linksys wireless router. Now when I plug them all in to it will they automatically work or is there some crazy settings? Also 2 of the 360s have the usb wireless device will i be able to utilize that in the system link. Oh and do i need just regular ethernet cord or do i need all system link cords? Thanks

I recently moved to a new place and changed ISPs.
Before the cable guys came to install the new ISP modem,
I finally decided to hook up my old, dusty Gateway Windows 98 desktop by the LAN cable to my newer Dell Windows XP desktop to back up the old photos and music. Then chuck the Gateway.
Somehow got it to work.
Then the cable guys came, left me the modem and an install CD, which seemed to work well, but I can’t connect to the Internet. Looks like I’m half-connected, traffic going one way but not the other. Consulted help sites from work PC and saw that I have IP address is in the range 169.254.xxx.xxx, meaning DHCP problem? I assume somehow my new Dell is “confused” and still wanting to go to the old Gateway.
How can I un-confuse it and get back to being just one PC and connect through the modem?

My main problem is I’m working in Japanese Windows XP, so I can figure out where all the buttons and menus are, but reading detailed error messages is hard.
