I live in Humble TX (Atascocita area) I am a stay at home mom looking to work from home. I would appreciate if anyone could give me information where to start. I don’t trust many of these websites. Hi, I have a smallish home network. Some devices are hard wired others wireless. The speed is OK, but I want it faster for the laptops. I have a linksys wireless g router and a Motorolla surfboard modem. Will swapping out one or both will make an impact on speed? advice? I am a Comcast (reluctant for ten years) broadband subscriber.

but why is my max download speed 38kb/s? shouldnt it be atleast 100kb/s? anyone know why? and how i could speed up my download speed?

I plan to run 100ft of cord from one room to another. What I need to know is what category I should get? Prices for a CAT 5, CAT 5E, and CAT 6 are basically the same? So with that said, should I just get the CAT6? Is there an specific brands that are good such as monoprice.com, Rosewill, Link Depot, Bytecc?

My internet connection keeps dropping, usually when I’m away from the computer for several hours (work, sleep, etc.). Is there a way to tell if it’s the ethernet card causing the problem?

I might be getting ADSL ultimate 25GB 1500k/256k. i’m just wondering is the the top speed 1.5MB. A friend of mine said its actually 150.0k/25.6k but another friend of mine said that it is that speed but because i live about 4 kilometres away from where place is it will go down to like 800k or 500k.
Which is right.
And also its cable and connects to phone line.

You might be interested in taking a look at the volume sales on Nasdaq for tonight. Biggest volume up 1300+% from normal. Chinese telecommunication company. Read it and weep. They know what’s coming. I would really like to know your opinion on the volume sheet. Several pharmaceutical companies have take a huge jump also. What do you think?
