I want to take broadband connection for personal use at home for study purposes. I hear now a days many options are available. Can anybody guide me which connection would be best in India? I am a student and engaged in research but staying away from institute. I know internet connection is available with vsnl landline but speed is slow and is costly. Some mobile companies are providing internet connection but to get the service I will have to purchase a new mobile and the speed is also not that good. So what would be the reasonable choice?

compared to other developed countries, we Indians are the largest consumer of mobile phones. Why is this trend not the same in case of Internet bandwidth. An average person in USA or UK gets 5 to 6 times faster internet bandwidth connection at low rate… why is India (one of the biggest telecommunication consumer) not giving the same to its citizens… is there any technical problem .. or what do you think is the reason for this.

I would like to knw which is the cheapest VOIP service available to call from Kuwait to India. I am using Phoneserve now to call. It is giving me 364 mins to call india from a card of 11$ which i purchase from KD: 2.750.

Also kindly advise were i can get the calling cards for the cheapest VOIP. Please do not give me any VOIP service details which ask the payment through credit cards.

I know that in VOIP you can have maximum 5 numbers of 5 different countries and VOIP calls within India is not allowed.But what if someone from outside India gets a Indian number ,say city Delhi’s number and use that number to call his friend in Delhi(landline/mobile) pretending as if he is in Delhi.Is this possible?
