I live in Humble TX (Atascocita area) I am a stay at home mom looking to work from home. I would appreciate if anyone could give me information where to start. I don’t trust many of these websites. I want legit and no cost to me work at home position. The position I am interested is data entry no telecommunications nor sales. I have my medical Transcription certificate in 2002 but never got the experience.

My son wants to bring his laptop over to his grandparents home and they do not have any computer or broadband connection.

I have a D-Link DIR-615 Wireless N Home Router and it works fine when connected via Ethernet Cables to my laptop, But I can’t get it to work wirelessly without connecting my router to a PC/Laptop via LAN.

How can i get my laptop to access the internet wirelessly through my D-Link DIR-615 without another PC or laptop?

Now that Dish Network has enabled ethernet, how can i access the device from my home network? I can ping the DVR but do not knwo its name and cannot see it from my network places.

I have a desktop in my shop that cannot get the wifi from my house. I have tried better antennas but that dosn’t quite do it. What do I need to put on the wall opposite the house that I can run cat5 from the desktop about 25 ft to get the signal from the house. AP? Bridge? etc.

I’m getting a palm pre plus from att and am wondering how to connect my palm pre plus to my wireless router for internet from the wifi. Please answer!

I have 2 adsl lines. one in home and the other in office. My Home’s adsl is 512 kbs and office has 1Mbs.

I’m getting a laptop and we already have a desktop. So we need a router so we can have both puters hooked up to the net. Will a wireless router work well in a mobile home? And what ranger am I looking at? if any.

I have a laptop with a Verizon wireless broadband PCI card that allows me to access the internet. Is there any way I can share this internet access and create a wireless home network with it? Can I just connect a wi-fi (wireless) router to the laptop and have it work?

ok my laptop is in the room with a adsl usb modem. it has a wireless card that sends internet and file sharing to my pda and other xp pcs about the house. one of these has a cat5 connection that i took to a linux pc and tried to have internet on that. it didnt work and a bridge setup cut the net off to the xp box as well.
now the linux box runs damn small linux (DSL) and previously took a feed via cat5 direct from my laptop.
the xp box it is now cat5′d to gives errors that the ip addresses clash 168.192.2.1 i think it said that sharing has to use this address and that means that i cant share the network on from a computer that takes in a share.
please, i need to know if this is possible while i waste my time with it.

i need to have a 100MB near my HiDefTV from my office/Computer room (which has FIOS 100Mb Ethernet).. i have two options either use Coaxial network or Telephone nework.. both Office / TV room have access to Coaxial/Telephone wiring. Tried 802.11 54G wireless, but bandwidth for home-network streaming not sufficient (not consistent).. thanks in advance for any advise.
i do have a CAT5 cable but only 2-wires used for a phone.. So my home is pretty much ethernet pass through ?.. How does this work.. withouth a switch.. can i connect multiple hosts ?.. another question.. can i continue to use my telephone line ?

Hi. i would like to set up a home network,
i have a windows xp desktop, and a windows me laptop.
i have the following stuff

CAT5e cable,
USB Ethernet 100Mbps LAN Network Adapter Card RJ45 d2,

Right.. the problem im having is,
i plug my CAT5e into the back of my PC,
then i connect the CAT5e into the USB Ethernet, the i plug the USB Ethernet into the laptop.

BUT

i cant fit it all in what im having problem with. please email me

I want to rewire home phone line. After researching for info, I decide to go with “Home run” method wiring or “Star topology”. 66 block 50-pair has many advantages that I do not need at this time. I just need a simple connection from wall jacks to network interface box. My questions are:
1. If I do not use the 66-block, I will make a contact points between the Red/Green terminals with corresponding wires running from individual wall jack. Is it the right connection? or do I need to use anything for contact points?
2. If I plug a phone set and dsl modem via a splitter into the testing modular jack (inside the network interface box; this will connect directly to the phone company), does it have any problems such as damage the phone or dsl modem or get a stastic noise?

I have a windows 2000 desktop that gets internet as it is connected through a wireless router via an ethernet cable. I just purchased a Brother Wireless printer that I need help connecting to the wireless router and to the desktop (which does not have wireless capabilities.

i am new in this i got adsl line at home but idon’tt know how to connect it to my network , idon’tt have networksockett in wall but when i asked my ISP they said that the line i working already , so please if anyone know how to connect this line to tell me from the beginningg

my house is set up so that multiple rooms can have wired access to the internet .. my room was working and suddenly it stopped .. i looked at the router it was pulled into and the light will not turn on for the cord that is for my room.. i tried another cord and it STILL will not work any suggestions ?
