When i try to connect with a router it says cant connect to pppoe but it works fine when i use just my modem

There is some crappy problem in my lappy
the exception unknown software exception (0×0000409) occured in the application at location 0x5b86a3c0

this occurs only if i connect INTERnEt through PPPoE

The current video card / driver combination does not support the necessary features. that is what it says when i try to play it and i can play the demo so why cant i play the full game because i love this game and i would like to play it again to refresh me of what a scary game it is so if you can tell me what it says please tell me… well here is what it said fully:

Ive tried going to command prompt and typing in netsh winsock reset, but when i press enter it says The requested operation requires elevation.

Im an ACtive Combat Arms player (its a downloadable game) and i just got a virus and i had to delete files and some pragrams to make it go away(im pretty sure i didn’t delete anything related to Combat Arms) when i tried playing it, it said error = -2,10013 so then i tried resetting my winsock but it still didn’t work so i deleted everything related to Combat arms and re-dowloaded the manual client update but when went to dowload the Combat Arms downloader.exe it said “no internet connectivity detected” even though im connected to the internet. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!

Using my yahoo instant messenger I receive an error telling me error connecting through Wan Miniport (PPPOE) Error 815: the broadband network connection could not be established on my comp. etc. I dont need broadband connections since I am on DSL. It keeps asking what service should it connect to. How do I get this crap to stop popping up with useless information.

i have a problem with activex license, when i want to use Microsoft WinSock Control, Version 6.0 tools in vb.net, the error message will display “you do not have a license to use this activex control”, what is the best thing should i do to solve this problem….

I have recently purchased a copy of “My Kazaa Gold” and it was working perfectly up until yesterday evening. I am now getting an error message that says:

Network Error:
No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.

-I have Windows XP sp2
- my virus protection is AVG

For 2 weeks now, I have not been able to access Yahoo Email (from the internet or Outlook). I have never had problems ever before. I have a router (with firewall) + ZoneAlarm configured, but never had any issues before, until now. I have tried to to reset TCP/IP i.e. “netsh winsock reset catalog” and “netsh int ip reset reset.log” but no luck. I also tried accessing email from my Laptop – still did not work. Its either an issue with my router or any issue with Yahoo Email, I suspect the latter. When I try and get the email via Outlook, I get the following error: Task ‘pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk – Receiving’ reported error (0x8004210E): ‘Your mailbox is temporarily unavauilable because another e-mail message is being delivere to it or another mail application is accessing it. The server responded: -ERR maildrop busy.’
When I test the settings in Outlook, Outlook is able to establish a network connection, find the SMTP/POP3 mail servers, but cannot log onto the incoming mail server. HELP!
I also just tried accessing my Yahoo email from my Mobile Phone and that usually works, but this time it did not and displays username and password, which would indicate that either my username or password is failing. Who can I contact to rectify this?
I’d just like to state again that this is most probably nothing to do with my PC or router as I also cannot access Yahoo Email from my mobile phone. There is something fundamentally wrong with logging onto the incoming email server. All I can think of is that my user-id or password have not been recognised, but its strange as I can log into Yahoo and IM OK with these same details, but not Yahoo email. Will give up soon and change to gmail or something else – anyone know what the Yahoo support line number is?

normally when i try to open a website, the browser shows it cant open the page and when i run the diagnostic tool it shows a msg which says that the WINSOCK CATALOG error.

The complete message is:
Could not start the DHCP Server service on Local Computer.
Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly.

I can start the DHCP Client service but the DHCP Server service can not start.
And I have this problem after someday the light (power) got off, and the hard disk spent some hours to fixed. The disks are 3 disks in RAID 5.

I’m experiencing a limited or low connectivity error when trying to connect to the internet on my Dell Xps 400. I just freshly installed partitions and XP PRO to the system, and installed the modem and network drivers. What could be causing this? I happen to try netsh reset in command prompt as well as tried a tool to reset my winsock error….Any ideas? I am desperate to get this to work.
