Would it be possible to buy a wireless router and connect it to the back of our old Mentor – 4-port 10/100Mbps Ethernet Broadband Router.

When I installed Linux it only detected my wifi card on my laptop (thinkpad a20m). I know by default Linux, when installing, looks only for one ethernet card. Is it possible to activate the ethernet card now? Eth0 is mapped to the wifi card.

For some reason my iphone and Itouch have faster throughput and drop connections less often if I enable DHCP on the access point with a separate IP range? Why would this be? I would think that the router should assign all IP addresses to all nodes on the network for best performance.

I’ve create VLAN with 4 FastEthernet ports assign to it, and set Private IP address to this VLAN. On another FastEthernet port i’ve set Public IP address. If I connect PC to one of the ports assign to that VLAN, can I connect to the internet with that public IP with cisco 3550 switch?????

ok so i disble dhcp sever on my router (linksys g) and well no one can connect so i made my own ip addres and whatever, so yay it connected, but now when i type 192.168.1.1 and everything else, i cant acces the settings nothing was found. what to do. if it helps i also pressed the reset button on the router and also the router is a linksys wrt54g

DHCP means the router automatically assigns ip addresses to things connected to it, and xbl is xbox live.
