im not too good at networks so if this is a stupid question … sry …
ok.. i got a 3meg dsl connection and speed test.net said i get around 2.8-3 megs..
but my download speeds are around 350kb/s…????
ive got a good system, higher end cables like cat6 instead of cat5e..
SOO i MUST be missing some obvious thing? at first i thought well maybe theyre servers slow? but i added another download to the mix and it basicaly devided the 350kbs between the two downloads
(different server downloads)

i read abreviation for megs and thought megabyte lol

I only get 1.5mb/s is that gd enough or should i be gettin more …… and if u could show me or give me links to increase my download speed.

it doesnt say how much is completed or how long left. how do i know its even doing anything? its been going for 10 minutes already.

I want to use imap but it consistently wants to download all my archived messages. Where do I set it up to only download the labels/folders but not all of the messages.

I downloaded Windows XP Service Pack 2 on my dad’s old computer. Without SP2, I was able to get online just fine. After downloading SP2, i can’t get on the internet at all. There are no viruses on the system. I did the Winsock Repair and that didn’t work either. Any ideas?

i am using flashget as a torrent client and i have a paradyne router. everything was working well until recently when every time i start a download my entire dsl connection crashes forcing me to reboot the router and even less time the more torrents i download simultaneously. can anyone help?

As stated above, I’d like to keep outlook and tell it when to download certain messages. When it does this automatically, I cannot check my email from any other computer because outlook has already downloaded the message. It is Outlook 2007 for PC.

I browse in my college internet cafe which has 1 gbps broadband local area connection .. i use mozilla firefox for browsing and when i download some stuff the downloading will take place at a speed of 5-10kbps which is very slow .. so what should i do to increase this speed to some 1 Mbps (1000 kbps) ??
