keeps freezing up. does anyone know how i can fix this problem???

i want to do this because i am running the apache server on my pc and i would like it to be on 24/7 if possible? does it cost much to keep my pc runnign 24/7 withoutt being in sleep/hibernatij mode ? and also if i kept it on while not being in sleep mode would the led/neon lights in my pc have a shorter life?

i’m in greece do i have to do anything to prevent this. last time i paid 1000 euros for a stupidity

I only have broadband at home, which I use on a computer that I bought more recently. I’d like to know if I could buy an adapter or something like that to enable my old PC to connect to the internet via a broadband connection to the internet.

Can two computers be set up to share a dial up internet connection? Both computers have ethernet cards, but on computer B the modem itself doesnt work (but the network card does). Is an ethernet switch necessary?

My husband says the router and modem on my XP computer with cable internet installed but we cannot get the upstairs computer to work–it keeps asking for a program disc to be installed. How do I reconfigure the upstairs XP computer to realize it is now on an ethernet and no longer on dial up?

One of my phone jacks wasnt working so i pulled the plate off and found a mess of wires. There are CAT5e and the standard four. Some werent connected so i stripped them and connected them. Now I have no dial tone anywhere in the house. They wont ring and when i call the phone it goes straight to voicemail like as if its busy. I disconnected all of the wires from the first plate again and it still doesnt work. What happened? And I have DSL but its working fine.

How can I configure BSNL broadband to dial up user name and password in Windows 2000 Professional? I have a ADSL router. It requires to dial username and password. It is a piece of cake in XP but my other computer has Windows 2000. So how can I connect it to the internet? Thank you everyone!
