I’m struggling with figuring out how to use college to help me get where I want to go. I want to make cartoons, but I need to learn more about the process, the technology/equipment, etc. Are there any college courses that can help me with that king of thing? Telecommunications is more like if you want to work for a network, right?

When creating network cables, should you strip each wire down to the core before inserting it into the RJ-45 jack? I’ve seen some tutorials that say to do that, and others say just leave the wires with the insulation on. I’ve tried stripping each eire and all of the wires at a time, and it is pretty hard to do and time consuming.

Ok, i have an idea to make an MMORPG. But i don’t know much about it, so that’s why I’m studying it. I need help with which network library I’m going to use.

For the network library, should I use WinSock, SDL_net, or DirectPlay?

1. I have 1 iMac running the latest version of Mac OS X
2. I have 1 Dell Dimension 4600 running Windows XP SP 2
3. The router is a SpeedStream (provided by FrontierNet)
4. The Mac is wireless capable, the Dell is plugged into the router via ethernet

I am trying ot start a WiFi Network in my home, and I need to find out a fast and easy way to network these two desktops together. Plus I need to know how I successfully get this network encrypted using WEP. Last but not least, want to know what these are:
1. DHCP Client ID/Lease
2. TCP/IP
3. DNS Server
4. 19v6 Address
5. PPPoE

I also need some help with the Airport setup. Even though it’s supposed to be “so easy” it’s been a total pain in the butt for a noob like me! Help please?

I am asked to design a 16-1 multiplexer using 4-1 multiplexers and any additional logic gates needed. Thats all the assignment says,

dont I need a truth table or something in order to know what the input values are?
Or can it just be “created” (ie, (10, i1, i2, i3) 4 times, with s0 and s1 select lines.
