Corrupted system file?

I was doing a system performance rating test and then i got an error. It couldn’t complete the assesment because of an error being reported from operating system or another component. I went to event veiwer, around the same time i got a bunch of Audit Failure’s saying the same thing:

“Code intergrity determined that the image hash if a file is not valid. The file could be corrupt due to unauthorized modification or the invalid hash could indicate a potential disk device error.

How do I fix this?

Windows XP – Random Net loss – corrupted IP

*I just realized I had ALOT of misspelled words… Sorry about that.* *Err sorry about the sudden cut out/in to full screen of text I ran over on minues, and I didn’t realized how slow I typed* *used audio swap, no mic, and 9 mins of silence would be cruel* Link. support.microsoft.com Other Tips. KEEP IT SIMPLE. Never have more Protocols on your network adapter then you need. For most: -Microsoft networks -File/print sharing (if you plan on sharing files or printers on that system) -Tcp/IP ver. 4 ~Personal Choices: QoS packets Tcp/IP Ver. 6, You should NOT need it unless your computer happens to directly be plugged into the Internet Bridge that would benefit from it. Other then that It is a Wasted protocol unless you are running an highly complex internal Network. “Be sure that DHCP and DNS Client services are Automatic and running on the computer, along with (wired/Wireless – Depending on your adapters) auto config. To stop any problems ahead of time.“ Be AWARE of ANY server software or services that might be running on the computer. Some Server software can cause problems. **Important** —Using this method will RESET all settings on network adaptors to DEFAULT. —a. Meaning all Installed protocols on network drivers before the method will be activated on every Network interface —b. File corrupted after transfer through 1 gigabit network.?

Hello,

I recently bought a set of SMC Gigabit NIC and installed into both of my PC. Both PC are running Windows XP and the latest NIC driver. The cable is Cat6 and that SMC card support auto cross-cable.

Here is the problem I facing:
- When using 1Gbps speed, i copy a file from one to another. After that, i failed to use that file because of corrupted.
- I tried change the speed to 100Mbps and copy the same file again and it works.

So i decided to check on the files I copied. I wrote a program using VB that compare both files byte to byte. And i get difference in around 100MB. (The file was 400MB)
I would like to know is there any problem with Windows XP using gigabit ethernet? or is there any other cause?

Thanks.
*Sorry for my English.
Forgot to mentioned. I am using P2P. So, no switch or hub used.
