I have a brand new wireless N router and although all of my computers are wireless G they still pick it up. Sometimes; however, the connection to the network disappears on all of the computers in the house simultaneously. What could be causing this?

My internet keeps going out. I called ISP a billion times. They can’t find nothing wrong with my cable modem/router. And from the disconnections since it’s all pcs they say it’s not my PC (s). Never had this problem until recently. I tried all the CMD (reseting ip, dns, winsock) stuff, recycling and even winsock fix, nothing works. But I noticed whenever the pc with the wireless adapter connects , a few mins later the interent goes out. But if I’m on AIM. or a online game (FFXI) I’m still online there. Power cycling gives us a hr or so online )then it’s right back down again. I looked at my modem log and it said something about not enough memory, can someone help me with that? I have NO clue what is up.

The router’s power stays on, but the internet connection drops to the 4 computers attached via ethernet cables. I unplug the router and replug it and the internet works fine.

I experienced loud crackling noise on my phone. Phone company repair man came out and tested good to my 8th floor junction box, but not to my 8th floor apartment. He said there were 4 pairs of wires available. He previously jumped from Pair #1 to #2 on similar complaint. Now he is jumping from #2 to #3. I have one last pair left. He suggested moisture and water in wire conduits causing copper to rust, then, when lit up, rust turns to “copper tarnish” which degrades signal. But while my phone stopped working (no dialing in and out), ADSL for Internet access still works. Do I really need to pull out old wiring as he suggested or is there another simpler remedy? Also, if there are bridge taps (wires branched out to various other rooms in the apartment), do I need to look for a junction box in my wall before pulling the wires out?

If I set a short lease time, will it cause a physical disconnect for a split second when it renews the IP? I want to set it lower but don’t want to be disconnected. Thanks.

What are other remedies to apply in order to fix winsock error into youyr computer system?
