I installed the bootcamp drivers that came with the computer but the iSight, Coprocessor, Ethernet ,Network and SM Bus drivers do not work. I have tried reinstalling them manually from the bootcamp folder, re-installing the entire driver pack, doing an install repair. Nothing works!

I select ethernet and they correct it, but the next time I try to go on the internet it happens again. How can I get the wireless off. We do not have wireless in my town. Please help.

As all phone communications – wireless or landlined, have to go through telecommunication infrastructure, how come Saudi Arabia has to force Blackberry to allow her to ease drop? can’t she simply tap the wire?
so i didn’t use the dictionary. But can’t Saudi Arabia buy 1 Blackberry and reverse engineer it?

I have virgin media internet at home and have bought a WBR-T3 54M Wireless Broadbank Router so I can get the internet on my new laptop.
I am however unable to connet the wireless router direct to my internet connection as the internet connection is screwed into the wall and attached to my modem. I need to get a connector wire that will go from my modem to the wireless router so that I can use my internet supply on the laptop.
(I gather from reading the instruction book that you would normaly just plug the wireless router straight into you internet supply.)
What wire do I need to get – someone has advised that I should get a RJ11 – Will this work!! Help would be appreciated – as you can probably tell I’m not too good with technical stuff!

Yes it is connected with an ethernet cable. I have tried linking this from my modem to the wireless connector but it still says that there is no connection!

I have tried resetting the tcp/ip stack with the netsh winsock reset command and ive cleared my cache yet i cannot access the mozilla addons website. I also am unable to ping the addon server because it only timesout.

I can access mozilla.org no problem though.
What is really weird is that firefox gets the security certificate information and doesn’t timeout but the page never loads.

I think this started occuring after i upgraded to firefox 3. My other computers on the network can access the site no problem.

Ive also tried accessing the page with IE and Firefox Portable (with no extensions installed). Im pretty much out of ideas of how to make it work now.

I am using zonealarm pro firewall and avast free edition antivirus software and i dont believe i have any viruses or spyware.

I have now spent an almost solid 24 hours on this.

We have an NTL cable modem, a Netgear WGR614-6VGUKS wireless router and a Sweex LW053 54mbps wireless LAN USB 2.0 adaptor.

We have 2 x Dell PCs and 1 x Samsung Netbook (all running XP). Yesterday morning all three were running fine, but by the afternoon our main desktop would not connect to the internet. Both the other PC and the Netbook are fine (thankfully).

I am not very hardware minded so you may have to bear with me here! The wireless network connection icon in the toolbar tray has a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark on it with the status: “limited or no connectivity” however the network seems to come and go (it also keeps trying to get onto my neighbours!?) and the signal strength says five bars.

Also, when I click on view wireless networks it gives me a great big spiel about how it cannot configure the wireless connection and tells me to start the WZC service.

I have tried the following:
* Rebooting (including switching everything off at the mains for an hour… just in case)
* Clicking on the “repair” button.
* Run a full scan (with AVG free) and Spybot Search & Destroy.
* CMD ipconfig /release and /renew
* CMD netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt
* CMD netsh winsock reset catalog

I have also had the blue screen of death approximately 5 or 6 times now, which worries the hell out of me. This usually happens when I click on something (nothing specific) to do with the wireless connection (last time was when I tried to use the repair button).

So long as it connectes to the internet I don’t care whether it’s wired or wireless (the router is, like, on the PC) but we’ve been wireless so long now I don’t even remember how to do that (lame, I know).

I am using my library’s computer to post this message.
My browser’s do not work.
I also get a message from Foxfire browser that the connection has been interrupted.
I have scanned for adware and viruses and seem to be clean.
One thing is that on my home computer I can bring up Yahoo but when I try to log on to my account it returns with a blank screen.
I can browse some websites but when the web page has to post some information from the screen it seems that it never gets back to the web hosting site and the server times out.

I have also tried HijackThis and the entries there do not seem strange.
Is it something to do with Winsock?
I have ordered a DSL modem from the phone company but would like to make sure my computer O/S is good before I install it.
Any suggestions?

I can use Skype and connect to my VPN but I cannot get on any websites using Firefox or IE. This problem just occured today. I also had problems with iTunes. I deleted iTunes and all associated files from my computer; I also checked my TCPIP stack, my network card and my IP address and all seem to be functioning properly. I took off all firewall restrictions and have rebooted the wireless network and my computer several times. Other laptops in the house are working and I know the wireless network is working. My computer shows that it is on the wireless network but I still can’t access the Internet from my laptop. I need help – any suggestions????

Okay it seems no one ever answers my question
Anyway, For no certain reason, my internet suddenly gets “Internet cannot open the webpage” and Cannot find server or DNS Error.
And then when i start typing another adress, it gets me same thing. When i try for the third time, it says “Internet Explorer cannot find the webpage.” Say i typed google, it tries www.google.edu and .org and changes alot in the name.
I have tried the following but nothing seems to work :

Start, Run, cmd /k netsh diag gui

Enable all options and run the test.

and

Start, Run, netsh winsock reset

Wait for the prompt to restart the computer. Restart the computer.

and

Type netsh int ip reset reset.log then press enter (to reset tcp/ip stack to installation defaults).

NOTHING worked.
It is tottaly shit.
And it signs into msn, and it stays for 5 minutes, then i am still online, and see who i comin online, but when i send a message to anyone it says “This message could not be sent to all recipents”.

And it says it has a problem with my Proxy Server and sometime with my Key Ports.

I’ve had to trim my report for space. I recently installed Mcafee complete. When I first started the scan I was able to access the internet as normal, as far as I can recall, and I left it on as I went to bed. When I returned that evening I found that I couldn’t visit any pages. I assumed it was a problem with the Mcafee firewall, and I attempted to uninstall it. After multiple attempts, I finally just deleted all of the files in Program Files, Common Files, local/application data, and Windows. Mcafee seems to be gone completely, but the problem persists. I can only access in Safe mode.

I tried

-Microtrade house call, for Malware.
-Winsock XP
-XP Repair Install
-Modem reconnection.

I can run and ping in safe mode, but otherwise not. I’ve used MSConfig to shut off all start up items, and it doesn’t appear to be service related. But due to the changes I have to reactivate windows within 3 days. However even thought this comes up before start settings are loaded, I still can’t connect.
Sadly I don’t have any restore points.

I have a linksys e2000 router and i been trying to connect my laptop to it but it keeps telling me “cannot communicate with primary dns server(68.116.46.115)” can anyone help me out?

Ok, I am connected on a wireless network. Today my computer froze, so I had to unplug the power, and then restarted. When I restarted my wireless router is still receiving a signal, but I can no longer access the internet. I have tried Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Yahoo Messenger, and m anit-virus updates. None work.

I have checked the connection, repaired it, rebooted it. Still not working.

I also pinged my IP Address (that is fine)
and I’m able to ping websites (yahoo, google, etc.)

I called my internet service provider. They tried to reset the modem from their end. And also had me reset Winsock.

I cannot reboot my settings to previous date.

I have run anti-virus scans with AVG 8.0, and I have tried turning off firewalls. If there is any suggestions I would really appreciae it.

Aright this problem is kicking my butt!! I have tried to reset the stack. I did the ipconfig/flushdns ond cmd. Also ipconfig/release—–ipconfigrenew ond cmd.I have also tried netsh winsock reset on cmd. and i have also tried netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt—i believe when i run this comand it is supposted to rewrite 2 registery keys but i didnt do anything or say anything after tryping that comand in. After all this i still can NOT connect to the net. Under network connections it has “1394 connection 2 connected 1394 netadapter” and it has another saying “local area conection 2 connected Intel (R) Pro/100 VE network”. It will repair under local area connection, but when i go to repair the other conection is says the TCP/IP is not enable or some crap like that!!!! I dont know what to do. I have pulled the memory on the computer and reistalled it– didnt work. I am able to connect when i ucheck the proxy server under internet options– connections– lan settings. I dont know what else to do anybody know!!! please i have been at it for 2 weeks now!! thank you for your help..
yea u can connect when i uncheck the proxy server, but when i go to update antivirus or window it says can not connect to server!!! If im not mistaken i think this boxed should be check that it the default way to use the net right?? thanks for all the help i am given

So i just switched from Vista to XP sp3 and i have the following problem…. My modem is connected to the internet and its working when im connecting it to my bad pc.But when im connecting it to the good one (the one where i installed XP sp3) im trying to use internet explorer and i cant Access any website.When im typing ipconfig in the cmd.exe i dont get my ip either…. any solutions…????Ive also tried Winsock fix but it didn’t help me.

windows vista. I can surf the web with no problem. i can download anything. windows update works. but things like online games such as poker and world of warcraft i cant connect. Ive tried every firewall tip i could find on the web. Im using windows firewall. ive tried all the ipconfig commands suggested on the web including: netsh int ip reset reset.log, netsh winsock reset catalog, ipconfig /flushdns, ipconfig /registerdns,ipconfig /release, ipconfig /renew. Ive downloaded and tried winsockfix. when running winsockfix i get this; 1) Registry Import Information not Found
and then after it finished. 2) Run-time error ’53′:File not found. I tried an online virus scanner but of course i cant connect Any suggestions?

I have signed up for a block of static IP addresses but cannot access them. I have a Linksys Router access my DSL modem via PPPoE and I get back 75.55.5.6 as my router address. This works fine. The router is set up for my static addresses. I have 3 or more computers that I assigned Static Addresses from 75.55.5.1 to 75.55.5.2 to etc… 75.55.5.5. All of these computers have Internet connectivity. So far so good. But here is the problem. I can’t ping 75.55.5.1 to 75.55.5.5 from the outside world. What I need to do is have another computer send a Special protocol DataGram to one of these computers on its static address. I want to use ports 1234 and 1235. But from the outside internet access, they do not route to my computers. I can only ping 75.55.5.6. So what is wrong? How do I communicate with these computers?

I will list all things tried. I have another computer that i have been d/ling programs to try adn sort out this mess. Gateway laptop, vista os.

- All browsers have been tried, none connect, not in safe mode or anything. Acts as if the computer is connect when it shows connection to be fine but no pages will load.
- I cannot get any website to ping.
- Ran all sorts of registry cleaners, malware virus checks all of this in safe mode, came up completely clean.
- Setting changed to auto detect default settings in Tcp properties and all browsers.
- Cannot connect through any router at any location or with a e-net cable. Wireless and wired both show good connection, but absolutely no connection.
- I can connect to msn messenger, only activity that seems to happen.
- Tried winsock program, did nothing it seems
- No discernable pattern to the why how and when this problem started to occur, no new software from what i can tell or anything like that.

Other information: I have my os disc and i can reinstall, but i would like to avoid this because of the capacity of disc space i have used with programs, needed files, etc. I know i have options to get that backed up, but i would like to solve the problem without these options just quite yet.
