When i receive a call to my toll free or any other virtual phone number i want it to be connected to my iphone via VoIP with a fixed number. right now i use VoIP for outgoing calls with fring skype and a SIP provider. I love the cheap rates but the incoming calls don’t get transfered to phone. So i was wondering if i can just receive calls with another number in my area code or toll free and have it forward to my accounts. Any feedback on this would be great. If anyone has done anything like this before i would like to hear it.

Is it free to make calls using VOIP on iPod Touch?
Do I have to have some phone account with Rogers, Bell or other service providers?

I have a Straight Talk Samsung R451c phone, and I’ve tried calling it from my Magic Jack phone, and my iPod Touch VOIP app, and when I do, I just hear three beeps and then silence. Does Straight Talk block VOIP calls? Is there a way to make it work?

You know how there are services like Skype that allow you to make phone calls with a broadband connection? Well I was wondering how the transmission of those calls takes place. I know telephone exchanges convert the your voice to digital and send them to other switches.

I am using Nymgo service in my mobile, it is offering a very nice cheap VOIP INTERNATIONAL calls from mobile internet calls. But unfortunately I am facing some problems with this service now a days.
so, my question is any body knows other service provider provides a similar service with same rate or even lower?

When I get a phone call my ADSL disconnects so I put in a splitter and now though the telephone works, it doesnt ring any more! Anyone any ideas?

my phone line and adsl are on the same line is there away that i can record the phone calls i make from this line on to my computer.

Our system is a new install of Cisco VOIP. We had an incident which caused calls to be dropped or not connected at all. Cisco gave us a patch to fix the problem, but we have no way of load testing the fix until people came in the next morning and started using the system. We would like to prove the system is working before people come into work.
Didn’t find any phone testing equipement called Sidekick7. It looked more like an app for cell phones.

The Draytek Vigor 2820vN VOIP Router blocks emergency calls from being made. Basically it dials the 999 number then gets a dial tone so the Emergency Call fails. I have been chasing this for over three months now. This video demonstrates the problem.
