Microfluidic device with microvalves (inlet area) [Folch lab]

Ladies, during a persistent power outage in your area if you were to discover a massive alligator…?

In your bathtub, but the alligator seemed rather tame and really just wanted a bit of rest, but the only light you had was a small flashlight and only had cable-based telephony which precluded you from calling for help during said power outage and no cell phone at your disposal how would you handle this situation? (Assuming there is no neighbor within 4 kilometers of your home).

I would be scared to death by the experience but are ladies scared of alligators (otherwise peaceful ones) during power outages?

What if in addition to said alligator there were a tornado warning in effect in your region which would ladies consider the greater threat and do most ladies have excellent tornado shelters for such occasions?

Getting DSL in my area HELP!. Dslam (Dsl Box) ?

Hello everyone hopefully someone can answer this best answer gets 10 points.. here goes..

Awhile back AT&T installed new equipment next to the main telephone box (where all the neighborhood lines meet) and this occured last oct of 07.

I saw an ATT guy working on the box next to it. I asked him.. because my family wanted dsl.. he said this box “can be used for dsl and ATT will more than likely implement Their U-verse. Television internet and voice over the phone line.

He said.. it will be deployed sometime in late mar-apri of 08. Its not oct of 08.. Still no DSL and when I call customer service they say we cant get it. Right now im using sprint’s wireless broadband but the latency is horrible for gaming.

Who do I need to get in contact with?.. Customer service isnt working.. And there are countless people i can name who would love to have the service. Its kinda out in the country, but he told me this box will run off of a main line thats only 8 miles away off a fiber line.

Any suggestions or comments would be helpful. I will go all the way to the top with ATT to get this service started. Sad thing is you would think ATT would like to make money.. apparently not because the dslam box just sits there. The ATT guy opened it up for me.. There is stuff running.. just fans and what not, but nothing is plugged in.

Cards that go inside are missing. And the instruction manual was still sitting inside the door.
Cable is not an option either. And let me correct one thing the fiber line.. Is coming to that box.. the other end goes to the central office.

Wireless Broadband for both a Pocket PC and a Laptop: How to compare providers in my area?

I am planning on getting both a PDA (Pocket PC) and a Laptop.

My understanding is that a big part of this choice has to do w the Wireless Broadband Provider – Sprint, Verizon, Cingular, etc.

I have been told that each provider has its own ‘hardware’ – towers, etc. So, signal strength varies from one carrier to another. That is a big deal.

How do I determine which providers are better and which are worse in my area ? (North Metro Atlanta – 30076).

I don’t travel very often, and if I do, it’s to other larger cities in the US.

99% of my connection time will be in/around Atlanta.

I have also been told that I should / have to get both of these from the same provider (the PDA service and the Wireless Broadband service for my laptop). The PDA will be my cell phone, also.

Please enlighten me.

What Broadband service is best for Xbox Live in my area?

I live in Southwest Florida (Charlotte County, to be more precise) and need a guide on which Broadband service I should use for Xbox Live. All I know is that at least 2 Mbps is sufficient in many titles, and I am not planning to use Comcast due to high price after the offer expires, but I don’t know what else to get there. Anyone got suggestions?
