Create Wifi Hotspot Anywhere Using A Laptop

Tired of running around trying to find a wifi hotspot? Well so was I so I did research and well.. Watch the video.. Just follow the big mouse pointer and it’ll work.. This works with vista (what I use) and I use this “ad hoc” wifi hot spot to get wifi on my ipod touch. now what I didn’t show you is what you do to connect your ipod touch/iphone wifi to the laptop.. go to your itouch/iphone wifi and turn it on AFTER you’ve done everything on the laptop. It should find your network if your wifi is on and select the blue arrow that faces to the right, beside your network name. It will bring up a screen on your touch with three noticable buttons: DHCP BootP and Static. Select the Static button and in the IP address bar type: 192.168.0.2 Make sure it looks like that or it won’t work.. go down to subnet and type 255.255.255.0 and the next bar will have 192.168.0.1 (router) and the DNS will be the same (192.168.0.1 If this is typed in, turn your ipod /phone wifi off and back on.. It should now recognize your computer network and connect.. Warning: I’ve only used ipod touch fimware 3.0.. Not sure if it works on anything else or not.. if it does, Sweet and lemme know for shits and giggles.. If not, still.. lemme know.. If you have anymore questions, hit me up.. You know where to find me.. Comment!! PS only works with laptops with wifi!

Information Anywhere Suite – Enterprise Email for the iPhone – Sybase

www.sybase.com In this video, Brain Whitmarsh a product manager from Sybase, describes how the iPhone can be used in your enterprise to effectively send and receive mail as well as give you views into your corporate and personal contacts. With Sybase Information Anywhere you can be in Airplane mode, write emails, and it will store them and send them all as soon as you turn off Airplane mode. Hello. My name is Brian Whitmarsh and Im a product manager for Sybase iAnywhere. Today what I would like to show you is how the iPhone can be used in your enterprise to effectively send and receive mail as well as give you a view into your corporate and personal contacts on this device. Let me start by simply going into the mail client on the iPhone. I click on the mail icon. Instantly it brings me into my mailbox. Now it’s going out and communicating with the Information Anywhere Suite server and grabbing all of my updates. So I have a fresh copy of my e-mail on the device. I can interact with this mail just like I would from my desktop. I can reply to it. I can reply to all and so on. Now let’s say that I want to send an email to someone thats not in the inbox of this device and it’s not in the contacts store of the device. With the Information Anywhere Suite we have an application thats called corporate directory lookup. By simply utilizing the Safari browser on the device, I have the ability to look up contacts that are either in my personal address book or my corporate address
