I have worked in IT for over three years but with the same company, I am about to leave and pursue Networking. I was debating over trying to get Network+ or my CCENT and CCNA later on. Should I just go ahead with the Cisco certs or would I benefit in the longrun more from a Network +?

My company hosts 20-30 web sites and we currently have SDSL service 768K Down/768K Up about 179/month. We can get ADSL service of 4M Down/768K Up for about 99/month with static IPs.

But I have heard with ADSL vs. SDSL there are inherent differences in the technical architecture and you cannot just think about the speeds that are quoted. Even if the speeds quoted were the same, SDSL would either be faster or more reliable than ADSL?

Any comments on ADSL vs. SDSL related to:
1) communication infrastructure (protocols, equipment, etc)
2) impact of other ‘neighborhood users’ on my speed
3) reliability
4) other

I am looking for a cordless phone system that has features like an office style pbx. Handsfree paging to all phones, call transfer, etc. I would like the basic functionality of a system like that without having to run new wiring all over.

So I made the mistake of getting my blood test results sent to my house. The tests came back normal with the exception that my T3 uptake was a little high and out of range. The other thyroid tests were in in the normal range (T4, T7 and TSH) . I have been scouring the internet and now have convinced myself that I have hyperthyroidism. Can anyone help me interpret these results before I get over to my GP?

I have a Belkin Wireless Router, and I have finally figured out that in the Setup Utility, DHCP Client List shows all the computers who are in the network, but how do I add the other computers that I need to add to it? Any help would truly be appreciated!

I live in Los Angeles and looking for an ISP provider that will allow DSL service to go thru a VOIP connection so I can eliminate my phone service with AT&T. Any suggestions?

I am trying to set up my slingcatcher which requires connection to a router. I thought my D-Link DSL-2640T was a router but apparently the ISP set it up as a ethernet adapter (whatever that is!). I need to convert the set-up if possible.

We just bought a Sprint 598U Sierra Wireless card and a broadband router (Cradlepoint Technology), and so far have only managed to get it to show a local connection, no matter what efforts we took to get it to connect to the internet. Troubleshooting, anyone?

Does the actual webpages such as www.google.com etc. (which constitutes as an extra download once you pass the 2,5,or 10 GB standard) appear on the bill statement?

Can anyone interpret this and tell me if there’s anything abnormal? I’m having some issues with my internet.

All I know is that 1000BASE-T breaks down into 1000=speed in Mbps. Base= baseband signaling. T=uses twisted pair cable. Am i right? Now, what is the difference between 1000Base-t and T1. I also know that T1 runs at 1.544Mbps(what is the actual number without the dot?).Now which is faster???

I used to call Jamaica for $39.95 monthly and I get unlimited calling. The service is no longer available through the company and I make lots of calls to Jamaica. Does anyone know if there is such a service anymore?

I’ve been looking everywhere for one and they offer free calls unless you want to call an actual phone. Magic Jack only works in windows. If it needs to be downloaded then is it linux compatable since I’m running Ubuntu?

I just got this phone and I have a power source for it, but it keep trying to get the Network going and it doesn’t work.
How do I get this thing to work for me?
