I have a number of computers on my network. One of them is a server that is connected via a gigabit ethernet hub to two other computers. All the rest of my computers access my main (internet enabled) network wirelessly. I am trying to figure out if there is a way to connect the two networks so that the server can be internet enabled without needing to run cat6 cable throughout my house. Since i have a ethernet hub, i gave the ethernet cards on those computers static ips (192.168.0.x) while the wireless network uses dhcp to assign ips (192.168.1.x) The ethernet works fine for file transfers, and the wireless network works fine, now i want to connect them so that the server can access the internet. Thanks for any help or ideas!

there is some program which called hyper terminal which connect u to another pc with out using any internet connection. how can i connect to another pc with adsl router without using internet connection?
i want to connect 2 pc wich r some how miles away with adsl router with out internet conection(i dont have dial up modem)

I have a PC w/o a wireless card and I want use the PC w/wireless to transmit to the second PC. This way, I can have access at both.

A. Multiplexers
B. Digital endpoints
C. Communication channels
D. Bandwidth markers

Will it mean that both the networks will be fully functional as in cross compatability , will the print server be available to the 1st network and the internet to the second ?

Plz guys need to setup this network asap.

Say, I have a network or 172.45.5.1 in New York, and a network in LA with a 172.45.10.1…Is it possible to set up DHCP on my NYC servers in order to dynamically assign addresses to clients in LA without having them being assigned to the NY clients?
RRAS using a DHCP relay agent maybe?

i got two computer both are conected with each other with cat-5e crossover cable and when i turned on my computer it gives me a notification” local area network is connected” but i dont know how to transfer and download file from one computer to another computer.

I need to run a cat5 cable from my top floor to my basement, as the router is too slow down there for my Xbox. I would like to add a wall outlet where I plug in a cat5 cable from my router, then inside the wall have a longer cable that leads to another wall socket in the basement for me exting cat5 cable.

Where can I buy these wall sockets and how do I get it through the wall?

I heard that if you somehow combine Skype with another program, you can make free unlimited out-going VOIP calls to landlines. Please tell me what that software is and how I link that with Skype. (or if you know a free unlimited VOIP program, let me know) Thanks

If I had lots of computers and laptops laying around in my house and they’re all on the internet, how can I start a private network with each? I don’t have any extra ethernet cables either. I have the new AT&T internet and a couple spare old modems. Can I use those to start a private network just by switching the ethernet cables?

Alright So I have a Wireless netgear router with 4 ports for computers on the back. I already have it set up to one computer which is with my motorola surfboard. My laptop connects to it fine, but my son wants internet in his room. He has a regular ethernet jack. Can he just plug the ethernet cable into an open port on the router to his his computer and get internet? Thanks.
