For example, my neighbor have an internet connection and use wireless router to share it with computer around the house. So, can anyone tell me how to connect to their wireless without they know about my connection, or without asking to them?

What cell phones & services allow the use of the phone as a broadband adapter?

I’m looking for a cell phone provider and device that will allow me to hook it up to the laptop so I can go on the internet. There are limited options in terms of wired internet so I have to rely on wireless since the area I’m living in won’t get a signal unless it’s near a window and there are no areas where I can get broadband on the bay in the base.

What ports and protocols do we need to open to allow outlook to log onto a pop3 server?

We currently have a firewall that is blocking incoming mail traffic, and authentication to the mail server. What ports should be open to allow incoming mail on a pop3/imap server?

Please note: our web access through squirrel mail works perfectly. It is only when we try to view mail through outlook that the problem occurs.
We already have 25 and 110 open for tcp traffic. those arent the ports that are causing the problem “(
and 143 is open too.

Do these have to be open to UDP traffic also?
It is the built in firewall that comes with fedora core 5 (mail server). We are using postfix mail program.

How do you check what ports are open on the client side?

My router doesn’t allow to me change parameters, why?

I’m trying to change the type of connection from PPPoE (There is a drop down list where you choose type of connection , PPPoE, Automatic, Static IP etc) to Static IP. I already called my ISP , they gave me my IP, the DNS server and the gateway. But when I change to these and click on save the changes it automatically returns to PPPoE, why is behaving like this? what do I have to do?

Thank you guys, I’d really appreciate your help.
The router is a linksys BEFSR-81

SPYWARE DOCTOR appears to allow adware/malware to load?

How do I safely uninstall Spyware Doctor “from PC Tools”?
How to repair the winsock after uninstallation?
I thought of Spyware Doctor as a good piece of kit until the following happened.
When Spyware Doctor (PC Tools) is allowed to run, 12 malware programs load.
Spyware-Blaster detects these bits of spyware but it would seem that Spyware Doctor over-rides, and allows the rubbish to load.
Because of this I wish to uninstall the paid for version of Spyware Doctor(their customer service has not replied to my request for advice on uninstalling the program).
The normal uninstall method disables my browsers, takes out internet protocols from winsock.
My Advice BEWARE SPYWARE DOCTOR .
The following malware loads-

Configuring a DHCP server to allow computers to Boot from Network

We’re rolling out some new laptops and we’re using some new imaging software (Symantec Ghost), and long story short the fastest way to do it is to configure the PCs to boot from the network. Ghost will create the boot package for us, but what do we need to do to our DHCP server so that the clients will know where to find the boot server?

Is there a way to configure a static IP for certain networks and allow DHCP to choose on others?

I use a static IP at home, but the network on campus won’t let me connect if my notebook is configured that way for their network. Is there a way (Vista Home) to configure network-specific IP settings?
