i have a Zoom ADSL X6 wireless modem/router i used with my at&t dsl. i switched to cable recently and tried using the ethernet connection in one of the free ports in the zoom modem to the plain ole motorola cable modem and tried to access the wireless connection, and it connects but my access is limited to ‘local only’ now. do I need a new wless router to go with my new cable modem?

Please help…some of my internet programs either work slowly now or not at all.

I use VOIPCHEAP.com which I find better than SKYPE.

Recently we built a new house. There are multiple sockets around the house. We started of with our original phone that had the phone and adsl cord filter. But today we bought another two wireless phones. Now everytime these other phones are connected, the internet says it is on but the ppp turns of. I think the signal or something is getting scrambled. Do i need to buy seperate filters for each phone from my ISP or what do i do?

Need to know how is the ADSL modem/router work.

i only get 50KBps speed , is it maximum i can get

i am using a conextent accessrunner adsl modem in linux.it establishes the link but i dont know how to give my username and password.

If you know, please include a source so I’m sure I don’t

ive currently still got virgin media and its a peice of crap, so ive decided to upgrade to either get cable or adsl 2. so, which one out of the 2 is more faster and reliable, reliable meaning doesnt disconnect and keeps the same speed throughout what you’re doing.

ill be getting either one of them via a router/modem and be using the internet for broswing the internet (google) and online ps3 gaming.

because I need something to make my internet faster so I was just wondering if an ADSL 2+ Modem made any difference from a normal broadband modem.

I’m not very knowledgeable about this stuff, but I have 2 phone lines, each with ADSL internet access, if I connect them to one switch, will my LAN have the speed of the sum of both? Thanks.

i have reset my router (Azteck DSL305EU) after thet i’m not able to connect to internet.

i want to do this because i am running the apache server on my pc and i would like it to be on 24/7 if possible? does it cost much to keep my pc runnign 24/7 withoutt being in sleep/hibernatij mode ? and also if i kept it on while not being in sleep mode would the led/neon lights in my pc have a shorter life?
