I have Symphony SY800C. Before it connects to the Internet , it’s IP addreess is 192.168.1.1 amd I can browse it’s configuration. But when it gets connected my computer’s IP address becomes global and can’t login to my router ?

i want to stop using it it and start using dial up connection. the problem is how can i get my ip back the one which i was using before DSL? pllz help i m desperate to know this

Some VPN devices don’t have a problem with this, but the Cisco ASA device seems to demand that a fixed IP address be associated with a VPN endpoint. I need to VPN to two locations whose IPs may change, but they use a dynamic DNS service to map a static FQDN to their current IP address. I can’t figure out how to get the Cisco to use that FQDN (office1.mydomain.com, e.g.) instead of an IP address. Cisco appears to support this via some kind of “dynamic map” but I cannot figure out how to make it work. Any help or configuration examples would be much appreciated.

I need to keep track of my real external ip address as the ISP changes it every day or two. (Not the internal NATed DHCP address) If I go to any of those “What’s my ip address?” websites that tell me the ip address which the outside world sees me sourcing from it changes every day or two. I need a script or tool I can install on my laptop that will keep a log listings of my real ip addresses as it changes.

I have a situation where I need to have 50+ Windows XP machines boot on a network that does not have a DHCP server. Because these virtual machines revert back to their “golden” state each time they boot, I can’t use a static IP. Is there a way or maybe even a VB script that can pick an IP address from a list and assign it to an adapter when the machine boots?

I;ve read that if these two are “yes” i have a dynamic ip address, i also use wireless and i’ve tried to unplug and replug my router and the ipconfig/release and renew tactic but neither of them change it.

Does this mean i have a static ip address or is there a problem?

I tried reinstalling but thats about it. I heard it may fix if i set my DHCP to automatic, but i do not know how. Can you please give any suggestions how to fix this or how to set DHCP to auto?

Basically, after an attack of the virus trojan vundo, i couldn’t access certain sites. I tried winsock resetting and messing around w/ fixes i found only. But they never worked out. So today I decided to try a proxy site to access the site i’m trying to access and it did work. I’ve googled around and found out that it was related to the MAC address. My router is a 2wire – 3800HGV-B. Thanks.

okay, since it comes down to a malware problem, what should I use to thoroughly clean it? I’ve went through Malwarebytes Anti-malware and it seemed to be fine. I do seem to get extra pop ups when i’m not suppose to, so what are some you guys recommend?? Thanks!
