I’m thinking of buying the wireless adapter for xbox but I’ve heard the connection is not as good as with the ethernet cord, is this true?

I have a Cisco ATA 186 Analog Telephone Adaptor.. and i have a remote location in which i have extended network capability to by means of Fiber.. and they now want a fax line at this location.. i’ve search the Avaya site for an adapter and they have none.

I can’t find one online or anywhere. Can someone help me find a site please? All help appreciated.

I want to add a coax jack to another room without running the cable. I would assume that since Cat5 can be sent over powerline, then Coax should be a no-brainer. I find it hard to believe that no one makes this handy gadget.

I’m looking for a cell phone provider and device that will allow me to hook it up to the laptop so I can go on the internet. There are limited options in terms of wired internet so I have to rely on wireless since the area I’m living in won’t get a signal unless it’s near a window and there are no areas where I can get broadband on the bay in the base.

I just got my xbox 360 elite. It came with a ethernet cable and we bought the wireless adapter. My brother and my mom were having a huge deal over connecting with the wireless adapter. I wanna know if it will be easier with the ethernet cable. If not, then go through the steps of using an ethernet cable to connect with xbox live. Any feedback would be helpful.

Basically I have one ethernet cable in-wall and have two units (PS3 and Wii). How do I connect both, without having to reconnect the cable to either one and without running a second cable from the router? Is there an adapter, splitter, etc…? I will playing xbox live and have decided to go with a power line to ethernet adapter. The offered speeds are 85 or 200 Mbps. I have a 7 Mbps cable modem. Would I be wasting my money on the 200 or would I see a difference?

Does any router work for 360 network adapter. Because i heard you need a gaming router for it to work. Also i read that u need WEP Key but do you need to. I dont use the security feature so do i have to use it.

I am trying to set up my slingcatcher which requires connection to a router. I thought my D-Link DSL-2640T was a router but apparently the ISP set it up as a ethernet adapter (whatever that is!). I need to convert the set-up if possible.

My xbox live won’t work, and when I go to configure network settings, almost all of my settings are deleted. IP settings are on automatic but say 0.0.0.0, same with DNS settings. On PPPoE settings everything was deleted so they say “not set”. I entered all of the automatic stuff manually, and I reentered the user name and password, but I don’t know what to put in for “service name” or advanced settings. I have a clue that it might be my network adapter. If I’m thinking correctly, shouldn’t it be the one to pick this stuff up automatically? Please help me. Thanks for looking.

My router is located at point A roughly 15 feet from the wall of which on the other side resides my tv/xbox 360 setup. How do I go about using my router’s wifi to another wifi device to direct connect via ethernet cat5? Can’t I just buy another router and use my FIOS router’s wifi to have internet connectivity to my XBOX 360?

I only have one ethernet port on my PC, which I use to connect my computer to the internet.

If i use a usb ethernet adapter on my PC, can I connect another ethernet cable from my PC to my PS3?

My daughter has an old Compaq laptop with just the basics on it (refurb) and I cannot access the internet b/c it says it is missing the driver for the wireless adapter. What do I do?
Went to Cisco website and there is no listed driver installation package. It says the driver should have come with the computer.

I received an e-mail message saying my computer is running a DHCP process that is interfering with the network. What do I do?
