I bought a Cricket wireless passport broadband card and my laptop doesn’t have a PC card slot. The card requires a standard type II slot. My laptop is new, an hp pavilion 9420. Is there an adapter or something I can use?

Using a Netgear WGR614 v6. Have an Arris Cable Modem connected to the router and the router is connected to my eMac.

No luck so far getting connected.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have a Netgear rangemax dual band wireless-N router (WNDR3300). I know that the xbox wireless adapters do not work with N routers but I think this router is able to connect with G. I don’t really wanna go blow $100 to find out the adapter won’t work. Thanks.

I trying to configure & setup wireless access point with powerline ethernet adapter. Running Ethernet Cables would be impossible due outside & there are separate two buildings. One power meter. Need help with setup & configure.

I have a network adapter for the PS2, CAT5E 50ft ethernet cord connected to Linksys Routher to the PS2 Network adapter. I used the setup disk and it said I was online but didnt send the registration. Everything works fine on online games til after the DNAS authentication, it says after that the it wont connect me to servers. Help please!

I need to buy a wireless router to be able to play xbox live and it would go on the middle of 3 floors. I want something that would cover the whole house but not to expensive. Should I go for G or N? And which xbox network adapter should I get with that? Does it make a difference?

I have a phone adapter w/ router to make a home line but I don’t have cable internet to plug the ethernet cable in. Is there a way to make it work with an air card?

I have a wireless router connected to my WinXP desktop PC via a CAT5 cable. One end inserted into the ethernet port, other end into the Line 1 port on the wireless router.

Also, I have a DSL modem. Another CAT5 cable inserted into the WAN port on the wireless router, other end into the Ethernet1 port on the DSL modem. I have an internet connection on my desktop PC.

I have a wireless PCMCIA adapter inserted into my WinME laptop so I can access the internet from my desktop, but it is not working. Do i need an ADDITIONAL wireless adapter in my PC to share the internet, or is my wireless router supposed to take the place of an adapter?

My DSL modem is a Westell D90, and my wireless router is a D-Link DI-524 802.11g, and the PCMCIA adapter in my laptop is a D-Link DWL-650 802.11b. I’ve been told both 802.11g and b are compatible.

I have two jacks in my wall plate. One RJ11, the other RJ45. Both were wired with Cat5. I want to convert the RJ11 to RJ45 so I have two RJ45′s but I don’t want to have to re-terminate the wire. Is there an RJ45 termination for my wall plate that has on the backside an easy way to plug into the RJ11 so I don’t have to hire someone to re-wire the termination? I also don’t want to re-wire it myself.

I have a vantec external hard drive, and I know I can’t plug it strait into my Cradle Point wireless router, even though it has a usb port on the router. But, if I used a usb to ethernet adapter, would I then be able to see the drive on my network? I appreciate any help I can get. Thanks!

Is there a difference between a LAN adapter and network adapter? I would like to not just connect my Wii to my router by a cat5e cord for downloads but be able to play games online too.

I only have a wired connection.

I have a Panasonic HDTV which can hook up to the net, but there is no CAT5 outlet near it. If someone made a wireless (WIFI) adapter with CAT5 output, I could access the net. Is there any such animal? Thanks.

I’ve got a Netgear WGR614 V7 wireless hanging in the rafters in the garage. It hooks up my Best Buy BluRay player, my wife’s laptop and my PC. Are you saying I can get another wireless router and have them talk to one another and output the CAT5 cable to the TV? I’m thinking that’s what the diagram shows. Thanks again.
Just got off the phone with an IT buddy and he solved my problem. Move the cable modem and wireless router into the bedroom and run a hardwire CAT5 cable from the router to the TV. TV works, BluRay player works, PC and laptop still hook up. Doh, why didn’t I think of that. Thanks for the help. Got to love Yahoo answers.

My old 5.1 2A adapter went bust. Got a new 5 volt 1.5 A adapter and it works but is it advisable?

I have an Xbox 360 with a broken Ethernet port and I don’t have enough money to buy Microsoft’s Wireless Adapter. Is there any way to connect my Xbox 360 to Xbox Live without using the Ethernet or a wireless adapter? I have a laptop and an iPod Touch 2G if you can use either one of those.

I just entered into the world of Xbox 360 by trading my PS3 for it. It’s not the new one with a built in WiFi card so I need to rig it to where I don’t have a 50 foot Cat5 going to my router. I was thinking of getting one of those wireless adapters that goes directly to a Cat5 cable and into WiFi. Will that work with the 360 or is the only way to get on a WiFi network the official adapter or a hard cable?

I have a PS2. I have a Sprint Mobile Broadband USB connection for my XP Pro laptop. I’m trying to connect the PS2 to my laptop via ethernet, then ‘merge’ or ‘bridge’ the LAN connection on my laptop to the Sprint Connection. Im not sure of the settings that I need to configure. Point-of-Interest: The Sprint connection is under the catagory ‘dial up’ in my network connections. Surely this is possible.

My internet doesn’t work, there is a connection named 1349 connection that says its connected with 400mpbs but no packets sent or recieved, There is also the “Ethernet Controller” that is ? in the device manager. When I plug in my high speed internet into the ethernet plug-in the 1349 connection does not respond to my plug, I pull it out, it still doesn’t respond. I think that I need a driver since I had installed a completely new copy of Windows XP Pro.

Also there is Ethernet Controller, Raid Controller, Multimedia Controller, SM Bus Controller. I don’t know how to solve this problem, can someone help me?
