i want to do this because i am running the apache server on my pc and i would like it to be on 24/7 if possible? does it cost much to keep my pc runnign 24/7 withoutt being in sleep/hibernatij mode ? and also if i kept it on while not being in sleep mode would the led/neon lights in my pc have a shorter life?

Do they have the capability (like GPS and other locating methods) coz my friend has lost his phone from a thief.

I made the dhcp scope on the windows 2003 server . . . .and on the xp workstation I’m suppose to make it a dhcp client. The problem is the only action on the xp workstation says create server, why would I make the server on the workstation? how do i make a client on the workstation?

linksys router settings.. sometimes i notice lag, it makes me wonder if its due to people connected to my router… im aware and acknowledge some connections but sometimes i want to cut them off anyway does deleting them cut them off for a short period?
ah okay.. so is there a way to do it without cutting myself off just to theoretically reset everyone.

I am running XP as a host with VMware workstation 6.5. the VMware workstation is running 3 virtual machines as a Team. Inside the virtual machines I have Server 2003, XP Pro sp2, Xp Corp sp3. I want to network them all. Current VMs have loopback Ip addresses

now i just installed windows server.. and nothing other setting. now i want to install Acdc. is this vdo tells me all what i have to do to install active directory computers

1> suppose my company name is Cimc so i will put Cmic.com or local in dns name wizerd
2> my routher from ISP from where i am getting internet. its ip is 192.168.1.1 so my TCPIP setting will be..

ip= 192.168.1.2 —> for server ip
subnetmask ———– > 255.255.255.0
D.gateway —————> 192.168.1.1

dns address…. ?? i don’t know.. i think ISP will give me ???

but after setting tcpip setting … can i do as it says in vdo to install ADDC. is that is all enough or some more thing is needed.
and if its enough
what tcpip setting i have to for a client so i can add a pc on domain
i think it would be client tcpip setting to add it on dns server

defautl gateway : 192.168.1.1

dns: 192.168.1.2 – server ip

is that is ok pls tell me i have to do it now
and yes.. is this important to have internet connection or working network b4 installing active directory because right now i just installed window server 2008 standard eddition without having internet connection or any connection
and i am going to instaall ADDc without internet.. later when the network cabeling is finished i will put server on network . it this is ok ?
