I am currently on disability and haven’t worked in almost 5 years. I am 30 years old. I have a bachelor degree in business administration with a minor in telecommunications. I’m not sure how to get a job with such a gap in work history, how much I should expect to make, and what I could expect to do.

The reason I’m posting here is because I asked one of my family members what I should do and they said I should become a dish washer or a pizza delivery boy. I’ll be honest, my feelings were hurt that they didn’t think more highly of my capabilities, education, and experience.

If anyone has any advice for re-entry into the work force, please let me know.

I have a desktop PC with windows vista and I have an xp laptop that has a wireless broadband card, and I wanted to know how to connect my desktop to the internet through my laptop. I have an ethernet cable to connect them, but I could never establish an internet connection. Please explain to me what to do to get connected.

I was wanting to get internet access on the ps3 but I don’t have my own computer to hook it up to so I have to use a wireless router. Where do you plug the router into and is there anything that you have to plug into the ps3. If anybody can give me the whole process on how to set it up that would be great.

The only internet connection I have is mobile broadband (I use an aircard device which connects to my usb port). I now have 2 computers using the same printer which is wifi, but when I installed the drivers for the second and first computer, I can only get the printer to work using the usb cable. Why is that? The salesperson at the computer store said it is because I am using mobile broadband. Is there anything I can do to change settings to be able to use the printer without the cable?

I have a D-Link DIR-615 Wireless N Home Router and it works fine when connected via Ethernet Cables to my laptop, But I can’t get it to work wirelessly without connecting my router to a PC/Laptop via LAN.

How can i get my laptop to access the internet wirelessly through my D-Link DIR-615 without another PC or laptop?

I have a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications and I love working with television, but I would like to do some stock trading on the side. I am more than willing to work hard at learning this. But would any schools let me take courses based on having a bachelor’s in a different field? I am not talking about obtaining another bachelor’s degree, but rather a few courses. Thank you.

Now we have one PC online broadband, and another PC not online. Considering replacing that with a Mac, and going wireless for both.

I’m finishing up school, and I have taken a job being an executive assistant to the CEO of a forune 500 company. It’s high stress, and very technical as it is a telecommunications company. I don’t fully understand all the lingo yet, and my bost (who i’m supposed to be helping) is too busy to teach me what to do on a daily basis. I can do everything that he’s asked me to do, but there’s got to be more than just waiting, right? What should I be doing to help him during the time frames when I don’t have anything else to do? I’ve searched around, there has to be SOME isp that offers a decent speed + unlimited package. Well, even if there isnt, I’m sure there are heavy internet users out there in delhi, whats your take? what broadband service provider should i go for?

Right now i have a Netgear Router that cost 70 bucks but it sucks, my connection is only so fast and i lag alot in online games. I’m not using DSL i have comcast internet. Which router would be fast and gives off a strong signal, because my modem is on the third floor and i’m on the first floor with a laptop, i don’t like to go up there because the first floor is my living room.

or would telecommunications be a better major for it?

I have a broadband point in my room (student accommodation) and a laptop that has a 56K modem. Would I get a faster connection if I used a wireless router to connect wirelessly to the broadband connection rather than just a standard phone cable (will a normal phone cable do?) connected between the point and my laptop? My laptop has Wi-Fi. Any advice would be much appreciated as I don’t really have clue. Thanks!!!

I saw a picture thing that describes kind of how it works. It shows the clearwire modem right next to the computer and then the wireless router connected to it. My clearwire modem only receives a signal in a different room from our computer. Can I hook up a wireless router from in the other room? If so how do you do it, because looking at the modem now I don’t understand where or how Im going to plug it in.

I’m on a broadband connection now, without restrictions on how much you use it and how much download, and want to switch to a limited one, and for that I need to know how much data i am “using” each month. How can i find that out? Thanks.
