we have a project in school, making a “LAN Chat” Program out of visual basic 6… the Program is splitted into two (SERVER and CLIENT)… i used WInsock 6 connecting with IP, Port and other stuff…
When i run both the program (client and server) on a same computer works just fine.. even multiple clients 6+ Clients but on the same computer… but when i try to run it on separate computers it doesnt work… it says Error: Connection is forcefully Rejected. i need help pls…

My parents are Ex-PC users who just recently got a Mac. They are used to using a Desktop Shortcut on their old PC to connect to the internet. Can I create one on a Mac without having to go: Apple > System Preferences > Network > PPPOE ? Thanks!
I should clarify that I am looking for an icon that bypasses the actual 4-step process to connect, not the browser in the dock…they know how to browse and where to find it. Thanks.

I dont get it ive tried everything clean out hard drive run fixes reinstalled programs I have atnt uverse and i am running 12 mbps from what i understand for most people that is pretty damn fast I have done everything the “pros” suggest but it dosent work do i have to open uverse ports or somthing here is my computer data

I have 10 computers based on windows 98 & XP & there is not any server. Only have workgroup environment with static IP addresses, what should I do to implement DHCP. Kindly send the detailed reply.

I just installed Windows XP Pro SP3 and i don’t have a local area connection, i went online and found out i needed a network driver. I don’t know what driver i need, here is the info on m network adapter(s)

I have utorrent, and most downloads top at around 30 kbps (my internet link is 2.3 Mbps!) even though im not setting limits on either downloads or uploads…
no matter what the number of seeders is, it rarely goes beyond this value… yesterday, i was downloading a movie that had like 1000 seeders, and the speed never crossed 30 kbps (it literaly keeps varying between 28 and 30 kbps as if following a constant line).

a few times, the speed went up to 60 kbps and 120 kbps, as if utorrent was operating in multiples of 30 (very weird!)…

all ports are open, no firewalls, everything’s perfect…

what could the problem be??
it’s not my connection
when i download normal files using firefox or DAP, i get speeds of 350KBps (around 2.5 Mbps) which is the full link speed…

hi i hav been playing maplestory on windows vista but i keep dcing and then it says error code 10093 either wastartup has failed or wsastartup has failed i redownloaded it and it still dcs.i went to start and then accessories and then command promt.i typed netsh winsock reset and pressed enter and i restarted my computer and it still dcs plz help.
